I have been working at Costco Wholesale

    Pros

Fast paced, great benefits, positive environment

    Cons

Hard to promote and have enough time to dedicate to job and family. Sacrifices are made on both fronts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work more with employees first hand to know what they deal with on a daily basis. Hard to take advice from management when they don't physically know how to perform your job.

    Cons

I worked there as seasonal help they said they would keep most of us at the end of the season and they only ended up keeping 2 people of the 70 that were hired.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are great and its a fun place to work. They do some great work for their employees and the pay is great.

    Cons

It is tough to make everyone happy. You have to learn who is important and how to make everything work even when it seems impossible. You also need to learn how to deal with multiple people at a time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management needs to understand that some things are just not doable. Sometimes you have to remember how it was when you were there.

I worked at Costco Wholesale part-time

    Pros

All of the employees I came in contact with were very helpful and friendly. My supervisor and the woman in HR were also great. Good hourly salary.

    Cons

I didn't receive proper orientation and then was expected to do some things that I hadn't had any training for by other supervisors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that when you give someone new a new assignment, that they have been properly oriented/trained.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Reasonable hours
    Mostly agreeable management
Good wages (set scale for time employed at entry level positions)
    Friendly coworkers

    Cons

    Irritated and impatient members
Getting hours cut as a result of attempts to save budget and then getting called in to fill hours anyway

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the positive as well as the negative. It can be a little discouraging at times to only ever hear about the bad. Some of you already do this and it's very encouraging.

    No opinion of CEO
