I have been working at Coty full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - great culture / personable people - coty beauty has a "family" -like feel to it - summer Fridays - will get promoted if you work hard (however HR has the company's best interests) -

    Cons

    - very minimal work/life balance, especially in sales - current transition of the company added too much to everyone's plate - not clear direction from management down - transition from January has not yet settled

    Advice to Management

    - listen to your employees when the ask for help and resources. by investing MORE in your people you'll be able to retain them!

    Pros

You get to work with a great team of employees. Management is nice within COTY. Flexible with employees having other job during M-F business schedule.

    Cons

Having to work all holiday weekends. Sometimes you will have to miss family events. But most COTY employees are grateful for a job in this economy.

    Advice to Management

Please be far in scheduling hours. Everyone needs to work. Remember that the employees on the store floors are the ones to generate sales numbers.

    Pros

Consumer focused, goal oriented and successful company. Beautiful office space. People were very nice and welcoming. Produce great products and they seem to have good relationships with the celebrities/clients they work with.

    Cons

As a company they need to focus more on their own image and public reception. Everyone knows their brands, but not the name Coty. They need to focus on what they want to be know for as a company, and spend some considerable time marketing themselves and the "Coty Brand"

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job with relaying messages to employees and maintaining a presence in the office. However, greater communication would be useful as the company consolidates and evolves.

    Cons

Not the best salaries, Not as much opportunity for promotion unless you are friends with someone in upper management

    Advice to Management

HR should be looking at the industry salaries and be more competitive. Standards for employees are sometimes low so you end up working with many incompetent people
