I worked at Coty full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company provided a faster-further-freer entrepreneurial environment. They provided training, good compensation and I was aligned with their values.

    Cons

The work-life balance was tough at times. The leadership was going through transitions and strategically was not always aligned which was tough. Coty does not invest in their brands like their competitors yet their expectations are the same which is unrealistic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to invest in their leadership and office culture. Presently it is not a very happy place to work.

    Cons

The communication between managers and employers could have been better. Little room to move up within the company.

I have been working at Coty

    Pros

Larger company with entrepreneurial spirit, ability to add real value, a lot of opportunity to grow and take on responsibilities, great lateral movement, strong culture, fast paced

    Cons

When moving fast can move too quickly without evaluating all options/perspectives, behaves more like a start-up than a large company with strong processes and governance

I have been working at Coty full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Lovely company, team atmosphere, people like to work and like what they do. The company is going through a massive restructuring, so teams are becoming more lean and hopefully that will mean more efficient.

    Cons

For the most part, colleagues are lovely to work with; however, as with every corporation, gossip and behind-closed-doors conversations can dampen the working environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more mentoring / menteeing opportunities.

I worked at Coty full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers in Sanford, NC! Majority of us wanted the company to succeed (meet deadlines, quality & safety standards). Some access to product via annual gift bags and rewards.

    Cons

Little support of training, development, onboarding processes, etc. despite the need and employees' requests to succeed in current positions or advance within the plant. No company store or way to purchase product like HQ in NY. Aggressively negotiate when you are hired because raises, bonuses, perks are rare (even with an excellent performance review - no correlation between your performance and rewards unless you have a well connected boss).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in infrastructure necessary to retain employees: Training, development, onboarding, etc. It is MUCH less expensive to invest in a current employee than constantly rehire the same positions (even at an hourly level).
