    Pros

Good 401k benefit. Company matches 100% up to 6%. Extensive product portfolio

    Cons

Higher level management (VP and Higher) do not value employess.
Workloads continue to grow beyond measure. Average work week is 50 to 70 hours.
No longer asking employess what position they would like. Forced to take positions or no longer an employee.

    Pretty Good Intern Experience!

I worked at Coty as an intern

    Pros

Working in New York City was AWESOME! The orientation and workshops/events for the interns was definitely a plus (unless your in IS, since the workshops are more towards marketing and beauty obviously). Good salary and you also get free stuff.

    Cons

Got the feeling as if the IS team was unappreciated at times. Some Coty employees were nice but some were also rude.. The IS team is there to help you people... Favoritism within the team... When management makes a mistake they blame it on the team or person.......

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to ALL of your employees/members of your team not just one person. Sometimes they are right too... Don't treat your team like children...

Although not admitted, Coty forces out older employees. 45 seems to be the age they begin culling the herd.

    Pros

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop worrying so much about the IPO - you will destroy the business from the inside.

I worked at Coty full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Beauty industry, some interesting and leading innovation on Sally Hansen. Global company.
Start at 2 weeks vacation + everyone gets 1 week paid vacation between Christmas and New Years (total 3 weeks) + Summer Fridays (total 4 weeks).

    Cons

Not entirely progressive i.e. not quick to make decisions to address business concerns (from a HQ perspective). Although Leadership will advance and develop those they've determined talented, there is no interest (not even discussions) in others to determine career interests, strengths and opportunities. Lack of trust in some Senior and mid-leadership. LOTS of employee turnover (part of the culture/environment).
