Good place to learn mortgage

Account Executive (Former Employee)
Rosemead, CA

I worked at Countrywide Full Spectrum

ProsThe training is excellent and that's about it.

ConsMilitary style management...think "Boiler Room." Unethical sales practice is encouraged by management. Upper management is completely unaware of these practices or at least they pretend to be unaware. Professional growth is dependent on politics rather than performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote better healthier working environment as morale is exceedingly low and have ethics as a foundation of the business model.

Post Mortem

Loan Specialist (Former Employee)

I worked at Countrywide Full Spectrum

ProsBack when it was still in existence, Countrywide had a reasonably satisfactory corporate culture. Management did not go out of it's way to make life difficult for its employees, at least not without good reason.

ConsCountrywide could serve as a cautionary tale: if something seems to good to be true, it probably is. Corollary: if something appears unethical, it likely is as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementFormer management could offer this advice to others: don't be like us!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
