I worked at Coushatta Casino Resort full-time for more than 5 years
Pros – Good place for people to work with no class or morals whatsoever. Anyone else better stay away.
Cons – Workplace laws do not apply here, literally! Sovereignty with federal immunity to all employee protection laws. Favoritism, harassment, and discrimination at every turn. RUN!
Advice to Senior Management – Favoritism is beyond rampant, it needs to be dealt with. The reason your turnover rate is so high is because of the non-caring response you have to serious issues in your management across the board. Intense condoning of bad behavior and attempts to cover it up by force feeding employees happiness surveys will not solve that problem. Solutions begin at the highest level first, not the lowest level. If you do not value your employees, simply admit it, instead of pretending you do. Enjoy the money while it's there, before the Golden Nugget takes it all from you.

I have been working at Coushatta Casino Resort
Pros – freedom to manage with alot of support from senior managment.
lots of growth opportunitty.
plenty of reinvstment from ownership
Cons – working with a governing agency (tribal gaming commision) that has the attitude of a paranoid dictator and the apptitude of a lobotomized rat
Advice to Senior Management – give fair warning to professionals before they agree to commit. convince the tribal cousel that they would be better off with a different organization of regulators
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
