Very bad work culture. They had too many vice presidents and also some very bad sr. managers/directors. These guys will always get fat salary hikes and leave nothing for the team. No long term strategy from any one in senior management. Aweful HR. Overall rating 1/5 or may be 0.5/5
Advice to Senior Management
have 360 degree feedback mechanism, release all those VPs/Directors who do not get good reviews. For promotions look at performance, skills, experience etc. treat good performers well and pay good performers better than market.

client place visit and Onsite opportunities. focus on task driven by management. excellent compensation as compare to peers and other it companies

regional groupism is prevelant. HR are not too co-operative and do not stick their benefit plans committed before joining the company

Please be more employee friendly rather than only listening to only clients. Managers should more educated in terms of people management

After CSC's takeover, there is no respect for Covansys employees. They are treated as second class employees. Before you join, make sure which side you join.... CSC India(in DLF) or CSC India(in MEPZ or Covansys). Better to join CSC India in DLF(the real CSC).
Advice to Senior Management
After CSC takeover Covansys, I expected things will get better as CSC's international standard. But, it happened the other way, CSC got spoiled with Covansys culture and CSC's standard is coming down.

Covansys is a good company for who does not have out standing technical skills and who expects buttering. This company is totally good for new comers and not for outstanding performers. No process, No protocol, No growth, No appreciation from Acct Managers. Ofcourse Compensation and Medical benifits are bit Ok than other employers and 401 k as well.

This company ios losing reputation because of Account Managers and all full time employees are leaving this company just because of Account level managers and they are not getting any benifits and recognition, just account level managers are treating fulltime employees like a slave, and no respect at all. No employee can expect any growth if you want to be in this company and work as a donkey without expecting anything...even if you operform well at customer site the accout level managers do not give any appreciation and they dont pass this to HR or higher management they are just becoming like a big wall between employees and HR management. There are many politics going on at customer site, and they are taking full of sub contractors in place of fultime employees, even when the budget cut happens at the customer site they wantedly remove fulltime employees and keeping sub conmtractors unwantedly this is happening sice couple of years everywhere in customer locations in Covansys. Just because of commission they are taking sub contractors and keeping at customer site, even they are not eligible for that perticular position and even they do not have minimum performance.
Advice to Senior Management
Please evaluate all Account Managers performance and remove them from the company, and keep eye on all accout level managers and how they are performing and treating employees at customer location. Please give first priority to fulltime employees instead of sub contractor when you do follow these steps this company will be in good shape otherwise this company will lose all good performers.

Benefit and vacation package good - we were outsourced and they were forced to give us what we originally had from our previous employer. Close to home.

Management treated employees like a number. Employees were overloaded with projects, sometimes juggling over a dozen at a time. Project management was non-existent. Even though they had a project management office, once project was in your lap, the management was gone.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to trust and reward employees who continue to perform. Treat employees like the professionals that they are. Work success should be rated by project, not the time they get in or how many hours they work per day.

There aren't many. However they have a very good medical benefits policy, 401k with company match, disability insurance etc
Cons
In the US they are pretty much a body shop. Dont expect any career growth unless you have some godfather looking after you. Your billability is more important than your aspirations and career growth. Join a competitor such as Cognizant or Infosys. At least in those companies you move up the ladder, however slow. In Covansys you are assigned to a client location and then conveniently forgotten.
Advice to Senior Management
Your resources are more than just billable bodies - they have a lot of potential in them to grow and help improve the company. Senior Management needs to encourage this growth.
