Pros
good pay if you work hard and a great way to work on your sales skills. The RD was great and the people are great.
Cons
Working with people who do not know what they are doing and are not willing to listen in order to make themselves better.
Advice to Senior Management
Maybe find ways to improve processes so that the employees do not have to go through so many steps in order to get things done.
Pros
Coverall is growing at a fast pace The products used in janitorial cleaning is exceptional. After submitting your proposal to the company you are doing business with, they (the company) are very impressed with Coverall's Concept in cleaning their facilities.
Cons
I had no benefits (health insurance, retirement planning). Only 1 week of vacation after 1 year of employment. I had no growth opportunities working at Coverall. T
Advice to Senior Management
My feedback would be to directly contact their employees if questions arise about what they are doing or working on. Not assume or ask someone else in the office. Use written documentation when giving employees goals that must be attained. Give feedback weekly and monthly so employees know where they stand.
Pros
(Please note that this is a master franchise that owns 6 branches, not Coverall corporate and is run independently) Pay can be very good with commissions. Training is ongoing and helping sales people to develop their skills is a high priority. It has helped me become a much better sales rep.
Cons
Little flexibility with work schedule. Expected to be in the office from 8-5 unless prospecting or on sales appointments. No comp time, for example, if you get to work 30 minutes early and need to leave a bit early, it is frowned upon. Major micro-managing especially with sales manager. Very high turnover, in an office with 6 people, 8 have left (7 were fired) in the 2 years I have been there.
Advice to Senior Management
Be flexible with employees time within reason. More perks less managing. Too many chiefs!
Pros
Low initial investment to start one's small business. Can purchase any amount of income revenue frome master franchisor.. Plenty of opportunity for growing new accounts. Very viable to creating a very large customer base within a two-year period with persistence and patience of marketing oneself's business venture. Independent business ownership structure with franchise able to hold your hand if need be. Huge demand for office cleaning/maintenance services. Coverall of Va. is a Distributing Master Franchisor for Coverall Cleaning Concepts Franchise.
Cons
Employee turnover can be a problem. More than probable for a 7-day a week service, the work is performed when most other people don't work. Hefty 15% royalty fee taken from monthly revenue under contract. Paid once a month, not weekly or bi-weekly. Profit margins become smaller the larger your organization grows, which begs the question "is it worthwhile?"
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the benefit package.
