Pros
Amazing benefits, freebies, discounts on just about everything else, met some of the best people I've ever known there. 90% of managers give honest feedback and invest in employees' success.
Cons
The other 10% is deceitful and self-serving. Always trust your gut and use caution when handing over the keys to your future.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at the big picture & decide what your true priorities are. The Employee Bill of Rights is fantastic when the cash flow's coming, but gets thrown out the window (or under the bus) when times get tough.
Pros
overall a very good company. very very good and visible community partner. people are genuinely nice and help. nice discount on company services (cable, phone, internet).
Cons
not very clear about strategic direction and how those plan filter down and impact the general employees. seems like there's a lot of "throw against the wall and let's see what sticks" approach
Advice to Senior Management
Be open and honest with all employees. Don't try to sugar coat any negative messages - we are all adults.
Pros
good pay, great benefits, free cable, and internet, positive work environment, employee bill of rights, great people to work with and have as co workers
Cons
leadership in certain departments do not provide feedback on performance, tell you to keep doing what your doing and when review time comes around itd not so great and you had no idea what you needed to improve to meet standards.
Pros
The people with whom I worked in most cases were a wonderful bunch.
Cons
Lines of communication on policy did not match up. Quality Assurance departmental standards actually annoyed the customers, and there was no one to communicate that flaw to.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to the content of the call and see if it calls for the scripted responses on the QA standards sheet rather than pressuring your employees to cram hollow words into a call that is being timed.
Pros
Competitive Pay and benefits
Room for advancement
Great leadership feedback
They will help pay for your school and degree
Great people/ camaraderie
Cons
The job can get stale at times.
Changes from leadership are not always provided to floor representatives prior to rolling them out.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work. Show a little more interest in developing online relations with customers by providing funding in this area.
Pros
cox has decent pay good benifits.premium channel incentives are very good.discounted services for cable internet and phone are very good
Cons
at cox everything is very complicated. management has lots of demands with no guidence. they only value numbers not customer service.
Advice to Senior Management
tou should try to focus on all good things not just numbers. customer relations, quality, and effort are very important too.
Pros
great employee discounts on service
competitive benefits
able to accrue lots of paid time off
Cons
Focus is on sales, agents are penalized for taking the time for technical troubleshooting & customer education. Most technical support reps are non-technical and training is focused on navigating problem ridden software & translating service call into sales call. Techs are rewarded for cutting calls short (resulting in repeat calls for the same issue) and selling additional services, not for fixing problem and keeping customers
Advice to Senior Management
A great deal of time and money is put into convincing people to become customers, an equal amount should be put into resolving customer issues and keeping them as customers. There is a reason more people dropped services last year than added services and training CSR's to do sales will not reverse the trend that has been developing over the past several years. Resolve customer issues, deliver the product, help customers understand the product and they will keep giving you money every month.
Pros
Relaxed environment, supervisors are easy to get along with. Plenty of training. Management will work with you to make sure you have all the tools and training necessary.
Cons
New director and management are turning the sales dept into customer service. Commissions have been cut in half since last year. Not really rewarded for being a top sales agent any longer.
Advice to Senior Management
Start rewarding your top reps again.
Pros
Compensation Great. Pay was wonderful. The customers atrocious.
Cons
No encouragement or need t o stay if something else comes up.
Advice to Senior Management
Respect your employees. The customer is not always right!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros
Benefits are good, most people are nice and friendly. They offer good training and side by side coaching if on the phones.
Cons
Management micro manages, company goes by the book "corporate" environment. Everything is a scheduled hardly any flexibility within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce the micro managing, may increase your work force to feel more comftorable. Managers should hear out their employees regarding concerns rather than listen and ignore.
