I have been working at Cox Digital Exchange full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The leadership invests in people and tools to help employees get work done fast. Concern for people is evident throughout the company. The overall culture is very supportive and recognized professional and personal balance or achievement.

    Cons

Always changing work environment and evolving processes stress people who are not flexible and willing to change. Can be confusing because the start up nature of the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the culture based on what you have already established. Leadership needs to return to the customer touching team associates to really understand that vision and reality sometimes clash.

I have been working at Cox Digital Exchange full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun, mission orientated culture, cutting edge concepts

    Cons

Parent company threw us out with the wash. We met every revenue number needed, developed a new way for auto dealers to trade wholesale, and because we are not part of the "big" picture we were closed. Cox has made virtually no outplacement efforts and more than 70 people were unemployed with many more to come.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest. Cox tired of the concept a long time ago and we should have been winding down incrementally instead of a huge spasm

I worked at Cox Digital Exchange as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Before the company was recently obliterated on Aug. 1, 2014 due to the corporate consolidation of all Cox Automotive companies, the work-life balance was quite good.

    Cons

Sub-par Rails programmers. Despite having fanatic adherents to pair programming practices and a supposed, self-proclaimed "architect", the core product would frequently have serious production defects negatively impacting our customers. Build failures happened daily in the continuous integration environment. Generally, the ones who decided to accept the move to Manheim are the poorer performers and I'd be very cautious about hiring them for future projects...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

C-Level management (i.e. "GPS") was good, but engineering leadership was always sub-par, as described in "Cons."

I worked at Cox Digital Exchange

    Pros

people are cool, pay is decent for a marketing internship,

    Cons

This was when it started so it may have changed but it was so chaotic that the company tended to be inefficient a lot of the times.

I have been working at Cox Digital Exchange full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fun, friendly, efficient, free healthy snacks such as fruits and nuts, helpful peers and members that want to see you excel, not steal your work.

    Cons

A little more than hectic at time. There are some company politics that impede the goal of the company as well. If you're good with offixe

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to alleviate company politics so that efficient practices can flourish and deadlines can be met. I know this isn't any different from what any one else says, but worth a shot.
