Pros
"old school" mentality means that hard work is rewarded and searched after. Company looks for people who want to go above and beyond their job description. Lets people expand their duties, and then rewards them for the innovation they bring to the table.
Cons
Industry took a hit with the economy, but as manufacturing begins to rebuild then the business is starting to flourish.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep looking after employees and keep investing in the future
Pros
Family atmosphere & good local managers. Above industry average quality. The employee morale seems to be reasonably good and people there are friendly. There is always a "real" person to answer the telephone on the first or second ring!
Cons
Company seems to be drifting and / or lack of direction. Price increases: agreements allow for annual increases - but company seems to find an extra increase in every economic event. Customers do not accept the reasoning and employees are left to provide whatever justification they can.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire a professional management team and stand behind them.
Pros
Opportunity to create new relationships with other employees based out of state; independent nature of my job was a plus; employee benefits were fairly standard in the industry.
Cons
"Old-school" methodology in operations and functions; leadership was non-existent, which explained why so many managers went through the corporate revolving door; complacent employee attitudes; negative-minded staff hired by company owner, himself a very negative-minded individual.
Advice to Senior Management
Step up to the 21st Century and remove all the negative energy that remains buried deep inside the corporate culture.
Pros
Good customer base. Close to my home and maybe a few good people work there. upper managment does protect the high value accounts.
Cons
Arrogant cut throat east coast managment. Would fire someone at the drop of a hat no mater how many years or ur past performance results.
Pros
Some good people work there
Cons
Horrible Management and a bad work enviornment
Advice to Senior Management
Take some leadership training!
