I worked at Crédit Agricole full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company encouraged me to grow and to test new marketing talents and language skills. I traveled, met many interesting people and whatever was promised was always realized. Consistently fair and open.

    Cons

I was very happy during my time in this position. I loved learning and working for this bank. During the days when I felt that I should have received more training for certain situations, it always worked to my advantage because it encouraged me to ask for help. Asking for help is a skill that I learned at this position and it has benefitted me for my entire life. Also, I have always been able to speak French since this wonderful experience. It's always how you look at things that matters. I had a great boss. It was one of the best jobs.

I have been working at Crédit Agricole full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Credit Agricole is a large international company that offers a plethora of opportunities. They are really great at developing junior staff. Provides great benefits and perks. Great work-life balance. Nice people and a lot of opportunity to work on cross functional teams.

    Cons

French employees have more opportunities to advance within the organization. Base salaries tend to lag behind competitors. Very limited international assignment opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider putting more resources in developing non-french employees

I have been working at Crédit Agricole

    Pros

Good starting place when you lack financial industry experience. Benefits are great. Work at a relaxed pace.

    Cons

Smaller shop compared to top tier financial firms limiting the exposure and experience one would gain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Greater focus on technical advancement would give a complementary advantage for not being a top tier financial firm.

I worked at Crédit Agricole as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Big company, great location. Had fun as an intern and got to perform in different roles within the position.

    Cons

Most of the people outside of IT don't know how to use computers. So big a company that you don't mean anything to them.

    Pros

I have been working at Crédit Agricole full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Professional, yet not overburdening environment with human hours. Provides opportunities to switch within business lines, and geographical mobility.

    Cons

Overly complex organizational structure outside of branches. Highly centralized yet obfuscated decision processes. Average to below average compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Delegate and decentralize. It is ok not to have center of quality and decision in Paris. Include branches managers into decision making, both tactical and strategic. Allow for center of excellence and drivers of change to exist (and be promoted) outside of HO.

I have been working at Crédit Agricole

    Pros

Good benefits, very friendly coworkers, not challenge at all, good for a first job or if you are a family oriented person without looking for professional challenges with a steady payment

    Cons

Low payment rate, not competitive with the market. Very political, french structures and managers from Paris do not care about employees in US.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Middle managers need more managerial culture training.
