    Pros

Good coworkers and life balance, good benefits

    Cons

Contrary to what the Head-Office is supposedly trying to develop for past 5 years, there is still no women at top management/Executive Committee role in New York office.
No salary increase for employees who have been in company for long time

    Advice to Management

Give equal salary and chance of promotion to women for top management position

I worked at Crédit Agricole full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Better benefits than most US employers including vacation, insurance, 401k, etc.

    Cons

Salary was just ok, it's mostly run like a 19th century factory from a compensation and rules perspective which really doesn't apply well to knowledge workers like engineers. Locale flexibility, remote work, etc are very difficult to get even though it has little negative impact on productivity for the right employees. Always values traders and bankers over technologists. Tech was seen as a necessary evil instead of a possible differentiator/competitive advantage.

    Advice to Management

Mold into a modern technology company that knows how to properly compensate engineers and architects and understand flexibility and value of the work they do.

  9. Pleasant work environment.

I have been working at Crédit Agricole

    Pros

Generally pleasant work environment. People are generally laid back.

    Cons

Top management tends to change often (every 2-3 years) and with them, agendas change.

    Pros

The company encouraged me to grow and to test new marketing talents and language skills. I traveled, met many interesting people and whatever was promised was always realized. Consistently fair and open.

    Cons

I was very happy during my time in this position. I loved learning and working for this bank. During the days when I felt that I should have received more training for certain situations, it always worked to my advantage because it encouraged me to ask for help. Asking for help is a skill that I learned at this position and it has benefitted me for my entire life. Also, I have always been able to speak French since this wonderful experience. It's always how you look at things that matters. I had a great boss. It was one of the best jobs.

    Advice to Management

    none

    Pros

Credit Agricole is a large international company that offers a plethora of opportunities. They are really great at developing junior staff. Provides great benefits and perks. Great work-life balance. Nice people and a lot of opportunity to work on cross functional teams.

    Cons

French employees have more opportunities to advance within the organization. Base salaries tend to lag behind competitors. Very limited international assignment opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Consider putting more resources in developing non-french employees
