Pros
atmosphere, work balance are one of the best !
Cons
Not as impressive on the resume as a big investment bank
Advice to Senior Management
Keep going
Pros
Descent place to work within a conservative environment where people would do fire fighting rather than prevent fire in the first instance.
Cons
Lacks proven way to deal any problem and is more reactive rather than proactive. Unnecessary fire fighting where situation could have been turned out to be a lot more positive.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more proactive rather than reactive. Value the resources and then resource the values. Value the resource for the decision made to choose them to be one. Then leave the job in their good hands and manage them with diligence and not micro manage.
Pros
Great place to work with many competent people to learn from. Constantly learning with many opportunities to show your abilities.
Cons
The culture is quite competitive and you may find yourself competing against those in similar positions. But overall a great place.
Advice to Senior Management
Begin moving more globally and expanding into emerging markets. Try and stay away from investing in the struggling European markets.
Pros
One of the best things about this company is definitely their benefits. They are a very flexible company and management is really laid back. The company is casual and laid back due to the French culture, which makes it a wonderful environment to work in.
Cons
I heard one of the downsides is the limited growth opportunity, but have not yet experienced it. The company tend to hire people from outside instead of promoting from within.
Advice to Senior Management
I think that the management is doing a great job and they should keep doing what they're doing because they are understanding and flexible.
Pros
a well known group with attractive products
Cons
very special ambiance, some are left away
Advice to Senior Management
good in general, comprehensive and with realist deadlines
Pros
good balance b/w life and work
hour flexibility
colleagues are easy to get along with
Cons
career prospect is not great here
compensation is way uncompetitive
constant change of senior management
Advice to Senior Management
I wish the overall compensation can improve to maintain the competitiveness and good telents
Pros
the best reasons to work at Crédit Agricole is work life is balanced, stable, customer oriented, team work, and friendly.
Cons
some of the downsides of working at Crédit Agricole is there are no opportunity for growth or limited opportunities s
Pros
Work life balance is excellent
Cons
No career growth and exposure at mid management level
Very low bonuses
Advice to Senior Management
Taking target setting and appraisal processes seriously
The organisation is top heavy.
Pros
interesting people, good deal flow, respect of work/life balance, appropriately staffed for analysts/juniors, your superiors will appreciate work that is properly done
Cons
sometimes unable to win mandates against strong competitors like JPM, MS or DB. Sometimes top management not supportive in terms of credit approval
Advice to Senior Management
Maybe the bank should make better use of its strong balance sheet to underwrite more in leveraged finance and high yield securities.
Pros
If you want to have a good work life balance this is the place for you. The people are friendly and not a lot of work pressures.
Cons
Management is completely incompetent and will ignore any and all issues that arise. They prefer to pretend nothing is wrong and simply are yes men to upper management in Paris. The compensation is by far the worst on wall street and management does not seem to care. Do yourself a favor and stay away, the majority of the staff leaves with in 2-3yrs.
Advice to Senior Management
Please compensate your staff.
