Creative Tech has shrunk significantly over the past decade. It is not longer seen as a big player in the media tech space.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management needs to define the nich in which Creative Tech can come back again, as Apple did. A breakthrough is required to revive the fortunes of this firm

Products need to be stronger in features.
Pros
Bosses were good and could drive the team to outperform. Short product life cycle made staffs keep updated with market trend.
Cons
Company culture lacks of flexibility and boss-oriented. One way communication and boss' influences were too much. It encouraged "Yes Man" culture and subjective workflow. Approval flow too rigid and centralized all on few top heads. It delayed the decision and responded late to the market changes. Current top management was too old for changes.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to decentralize the decision making. Get experienced middle management. Added new blood to the core management team.

Cons
Poor management at time and people
Tends to employ FT than Singaporeans
Advice to Senior Management
Please learn to utilize each employee talents
Pros
During my second round with Creative I had an amazing boss. She listened to my suggestions and was honest about how she felt about my work, growth and family life. Good benefits and profit sharing even when there was no profit. Nice HR people.
Cons
The company is going no where. Extreme tension between depts to the point of them purposely being unhelpful, which cost the company millions of dollars. CEO doesn't even say hello or acknowledge the existance of employees, even after 5 years of working there. It is basically a shell company for the Singapore group. Most of the other employees would be excellent employees in another company.
Very high turnover, almost 100% in my dept the first year I worked there. No training.
Pros
Every employee work hard and meeting company mission with limited budget. Creative's emoloyees are battle harden and willing to help each other.
Cons
Management need to understand the products and listen to negaitve feedback instead of viewing the employee as a trouble maker.
Advice to Senior Management
Mr. Sim Wong Hoo really love this company but he need to know having too many product line does not make the company better. I hope the company can focus on their strength.
Pros
Working at Creative, you definitely have large number of projects.
The opportunity to with different groups and regions is one of the company strengths
Cons
1. Creative has an enormous, bureaucratic system that works to strangle any initiative from the staff level
2. Senior management needs to have more courage and faith in their products. The will cancel projects at the first whiff of risk
Advice to Senior Management
Sim, you need to remake Creative from the ground up, not just pull back to Asia Pac. Remember the product you sell is Number 1!
Pros
Not as bad as working a drive through. Can get a lot of reading and goofing off done if you are a manager.
Cons
Little to no respect for employees. Company has no strategic management or direction. You will probably get laid off. Had to work on holidays.
Advice to Senior Management
Read a book about advertising, also you should probably have been fired a long time ago. And watch out for snakes.
Pros
Gained a lot of experience early on in career, it is easy to take initiative to get things done, and learn a lot.
Cons
Completely engineering-lead, so unless you have an engineering background you have very little chance to make it into executive management.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen less to the sales team and focus more on the overall integration of the different parts of the business.
Pros
Its R&D department is a good place to work in to gain technical skills. Get wide exposure towards different technologies. Its agile development environment and less of process structure, encourages the working people to be more creative.
Cons
It lacks proper career advancement for the staff. There is insufficient trainings for the staff. Lack of proper processes, thus, resulting in inefficiency and in many times, causes frustrations.
Advice to Senior Management
Should focus more on strategic planning and put in place a proper portfolio management. Without such proper processes, higher management does not seem to have a good grasp of the limited resources available.
