Pros
The work atmosphere is quite friendly and enjoyable. The management often gives me different opportunities and challenges which makes the experience even more exciting.
Cons
The salary level may not be the best out in the market but it's still better over most of it's competitors.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more training opportunities to the employees. This will maintain a more interesting work environment and at the same time provide a haven for personal development.
Pros
Friendly colleagues, supportative working environment, good learning opportunities, vast valuable resources, various development opportunities which can be seized by juniors
Cons
severe cost cutting, deployment of work to India, ambiguous management messages and promotion communications, limited promotion platforms during tough market conditions
Advice to Senior Management
Clearer and more prompt communication to employees, thorough consideration for important business and operational decisions which include factors more than cost
Pros
good opportunity and flexible hours
Cons
slow promotion process and not so good networking
Pros
- People, people, and people
- Managers who recognise work
- Excellent culture and management emphasis on collaboration
Cons
- top heavy management teams with limited growth opportunities beyond a certain level
- doesnt pay at market levels (they rather pay more for a new employee than increase comp of existing high performers)
- tends to be bureucratic sometimes
Advice to Senior Management
- Great place to work
- HR processes and benefits suck (really!). how can you have an HR team that is ok for managers to pay more for new employees than increase compensation for high-performing employees in the same role? How can maternity benefits be optional?
Pros
The people are great and extremely competent. The senior management is always keen to new ideas and appreciate bold employees who may question status quo (within reason of course).
Cons
The working hours can be long within Product Control. A higher compensation would be fitting.
From employees working out of Singapore, the impending move to Changi is a major disadvantage in terms of inconvenience in commuting,
Advice to Senior Management
An improved employee welfare package.
Its good to spoil your employees once in a while for their hardwork and toil. But regardless of that, I would get back to working with Credit Suisse any day. Great people, great environment to learn!
Pros
Work Life balance is awesome at Credit Suisse.
Cons
Median base salary is offered at Credit Suisse.
Pros
Nice HR, nice working environment and people are nice
Cons
pay is not comparative across other investment banks
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
It offers really good salary. The work culture is great and you get a lot of networking opportunities, and interact with really high profile people.
Cons
The work hours are really long and tiring. The work can be very hectic at times and you have to meet a lot of tough deadlines while maintaining your cool.
Advice to Senior Management
They should try to reduce the work hours and offer more relaxation and retreat activities to get the staff to bond well and feel like a big family.
Pros
Recently started focusing more on Employees and their training needs.
Cons
Salary is not up market pay
Pros
Get a reputable bank in the resume as a platform for better things later on. Rather stable and retrenchment is kept to a minimal.
Cons
The promotion progress for IT can be very slow, so it may not be suitable for high performers who expect more. It is a conservative bank.
Advice to Senior Management
Faster promotions and better bonuses will be required to retain good staff. There must be a way to provide training that those who ask for it without too much of an obstacle. Training budget is always a surplus at the end of the year.
