ProsNice place, people are helpful to each other.

ConsNot a good place to be a sales rep unless you like a low-base, high-commission opportunity.

ProsSenior management is knowledgeable and provide open door policies as well as full disclosure (almost, but far better than most). Sales floor is laid back (almost library quiet) and no one micro-manages you-ever. Very casual dress code and free pizza at the mid month sales meetings.

ConsBase pay is well below minimum for NY area ($35k/yr with no raises). Sales cycle takes an average of 18 months to close. Some deals take 2+ years to close and commission for that deal is $800 - $1600. Nearly impossible to make $100K/yr despite what management says. Benefits are bare bones - non matching 401K, no profit sharing or employee stock purchase.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake some of those profits and pay your salespeople a higher base salary (something they can live on) and improve your benefits package. Share best practices of top earners (still <$100K) with other salespeople. Allow transparency in the lead pool and rotation of leads - senior salespeople hoard all large revenue leads while new salespeople (more hired every few weeks) fight over scraps. Fire mid management.
