    Pros

Nice place, people are helpful to each other.

    Cons

Not a good place to be a sales rep unless you like a low-base, high-commission opportunity.

    Pros

The management people are nice and the coffee is free. The place even provides free tylenol for the employees. Employees do not have to punch a clock.

    Cons

Be prepared to receive hundreds of garbage leads that have been worked by every previous employee! The sales cycle is 12-18 months. The few people making sales have been there 2-3 yrs. The job is super boring and with no sales week after week the place becomes a nightmare for real true phone closers!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the sales people a salary that is reasonable. Provide a much better lead system for new employees. The newest sales people are set up for failure right from day one! The problem is that management doesn't really care!!

    Pros

The best part about working there is that the company was located close to my home. Another good point was that during major weather events you are allowed to work from home.

    Cons

Management has unrealistic expectations of their sales representatives. The sales reps are expected to make countless cold calls and utilize every trick in the book, including deceit, in order to speak to corporate decision makers that hardly ever come to the phone. If you're not successful at getting them on the phone, the fact that they never come to the phone is completely irrelevant; the fault is all yours, and your "skill set", as they say at CRMZ, are called to question. If you can't pull it off, your days working there are numbered. I would advise anyone considering working there to flee from this place and head for greener pastures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve your product, and invest in some good old-fashioned advertizing. Enhance your private company coverage and perhaps you will better compete with the other major players in the corporate credit reporting industry. Do that and your sales force will be that much more effective.

    Pros

easy going workplace, good place to start a sales career, they had free coffee which was a perk..lol, fellow employees were friendly

    Cons

lead system was horrible, the senior sales people would hoard all of the decent leads and the ones that everybody has already worked would get tossed back to the new reps... basically you needed to be there for a long time to see any decent leads/ money

Prepare yourself for the longest sales cycle for the lowest pay - avg deal takes 18 months = $800-$1600 commission

    Pros

Senior management is knowledgeable and provide open door policies as well as full disclosure (almost, but far better than most). Sales floor is laid back (almost library quiet) and no one micro-manages you-ever. Very casual dress code and free pizza at the mid month sales meetings.

    Cons

Base pay is well below minimum for NY area ($35k/yr with no raises). Sales cycle takes an average of 18 months to close. Some deals take 2+ years to close and commission for that deal is $800 - $1600. Nearly impossible to make $100K/yr despite what management says. Benefits are bare bones - non matching 401K, no profit sharing or employee stock purchase.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some of those profits and pay your salespeople a higher base salary (something they can live on) and improve your benefits package. Share best practices of top earners (still <$100K) with other salespeople. Allow transparency in the lead pool and rotation of leads - senior salespeople hoard all large revenue leads while new salespeople (more hired every few weeks) fight over scraps. Fire mid management.
