Pros
culture
great co-workers
passion for patients
great programs for patients
Cons
lack of career advancement
mico management in some departments
Advice to Senior Management
less micro management, more career growth in departments, follow -through on projects for hospital.
Pros
For those interested in the field of nursing administration is very proactive about encouraging progression within the field of nursing. The teamwork of some employees is great, there is a family like environment depending on the shift that is worked.
Cons
Those that have higher credentials or power behind their names demonstrate an overall lack of regard and respect towards those in tech positions. There is a lot of nepitism demonstrated by management, as well as a lack of general communication.
Advice to Senior Management
Understand that many of the individuals working on the units have just as much education, talent and ability as you. Many are in these positions temporarily, or are transitioning to something greater this is a stepping stone not a permanent landing spot. Respecting others should be a genuine rule of ettiquette and shouldn't go out of the door because you are given an ounce of power.
Pros
The competent health care provided makes it a positive working environment and systems implemented make it easy to provide good health care
Cons
The leadership can be unsupportive of the staff, and caters to certain physicians in ways that would not benefit the hospital or patients overall.
Advice to Senior Management
Advice would be to consider the nursing staff and systems within care there in addition to keeping physicians satisfied to promote a happier working environment.
Pros
I've always felt the senior ledership cares about the nurses. The nurses are the ones caring for the patients who are the ones choosing which hospital to go to. At Crittenton senior leaders seem to 'get' that happy nurses =better care=more repeat customers.
Cons
We just lost our self scheduling.
Pros
Crittenton is a smaller community hospital. You know the people you work at work. They may be your neighbors. Their children may go to school with your children.
Cons
Staffing is low. It is hard to find people to cover your shift if you need time off.
Advice to Senior Management
Work with the employees to serve the patients in the best possible manner.
