    ProsI am not sure if there were any such pros which are very specific to the company because I have a feeling that almost all the chemical companies have a similar working environment.

    1. Great working environment intellectually
    2. Good management system

    ConsMy experience there was a bad one since I was assigned a mentor but the mentor was himself was very busy to guide me.
    Also the problem is that the management is unwilling to change.

    bright, shiny and shallow

    ProsPretty good graduate scheme.
    Good culture and values
    Final salary pension

    ConsVery low payer and difficult to get a pay increase - no clarity.
    A lot of managers show outright favoritism - very clique driven.
    Management pay lip service to reforms, guidelines and process - they just do what they want.
    HR seems to be there simply as a cover

    The true Croda way bears little or no resemblance to the one the company wishes to project.

    III Different Ones During My Time There (Former Employee)

    ProsHas a final salary pension scheme.

    ConsManagement by stick rather than carrot. Virtually no opportunity for advancement for non graduates. Inflexible hours for below average pay.

    Advice to Senior ManagementThe company needs to completely change how it treats it's low level employees. Try support and encouragement instead of blame and punish.

    OK, But Not A Good Place to Work If You Have Children

    Solid, profitable company

    ConsAbsolutely no flexibility with schedule - the company president reviews the time clock records (you would think he would have more important things to do - he must not be that busy) and if you're 1 minute late you get reprimanded or are supposed to take a 1/2 day PTO (which still has to be approved). When you have small children and your spouse works it's virtually impossible not to be 1 minute late occasionally.

    Management culture is one of "fear and intimidation." Line managers have virtually no power to do anything - all decisions have to come from higher management.

    Annual salary increases are small - the smallest of any company I've worked for. My spouse's company's annual salary increases are 1.5-2 times higher than mine across the board.

    Little to no opportunity for career advancement.

    Advice to Senior ManagementFlexible hours are a must for working families. It's time to move your management culture to the 21st century instead of keeping it like something out of a Dickens novel.
