Pros
Good Attetion towards Employees and Work Nature.
Cons
Timings and food are not good.
Pros
Good brand name. Good experience. Best place to gain knowledge especially for Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. A single place for all departments of a manufacturing comapany.
Cons
Start is slow. Less appreciation.
Pros
freedom of work and to try your own things
Cons
some times your work does not get proper recognition.
Pros
Job gives freedom and individuals can initiate projects
Cons
However talent identifcation system is absent. No emphasis placed on improving bottomline profits and product quality
Advice to Senior Management
Mgmt should work on team work development and abolish appraisal based recognition
Pros
Speaking of R&D, there are usually good opportunities to learn if you are enthusiastic. Although, CG has a lot of red tape, work is not usually stressful.
Cons
R&D is/was not very organised for software development. Appraisal not taken seriously .
Advice to Senior Management
Need to take a closer look at software dev at R&D. Take steps to improve employee morale. "Power of we" programmes are not very fruitful in a long run. Morale is boosted for a few days but declines over time.
Pros
good place to work at CGL, they have all the scope to learn and to grow . excellent systems and procedures and of all godd people.
Cons
no adverse comment on this. large organization has its own bag of issues, people can get lost in the departments and get confused at times.
Advice to Senior Management
to make things more decentralized and the independent profit centres have to fend for themselves under the banner. improve the remuneration package
Pros
1. Good learning place
2. good opportunities for the young
3. Independence of decision making
Cons
1. Unofficial working hours and work load is too much to strike a balance between professional and social life
2. Increment in salaries is too low
Advice to Senior Management
better increments and much distributed and planned work load should be there
Pros
Learning opporunities are very good
Cons
Unnecessay Overtime is not going to work on a long run
Advice to Senior Management
improve efficiency not time devoted to work
