Pros – CCHS invests in employee development and education which is something I haven't seen since the turn of the decade. Those are normally the first things to go followed closely by marketing budgets and headcount. It is a relief to work for a company that is growing and profitable for a change.
Cons – The company is growing quickly and I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with the pace of change. I think systems and infrastructure have also suffered under the growth spurt but the company is going in the right direction to address these shortfalls.
Advice to Senior Management – If we want to be competitive in the S. Florida market we need to go to a 20 day paid time off for both vacation and sick leave combined. A 2 week vacation policy is from the dinosaur ages. And bring back the chair massages!

Pros – Nice corporate plaza in beautiful Sunrise, FL.
Main customer is Freddy Mack (government) which gives them a huge growth spurt, but won't last long.
Cons – Management lacks the leadership and the technology know-how to take CCHS to the next corporate size level.
Corporate systems are a real mess! A myriad of disjointed technologies that don't talk to each other and unfortunately reflects on the bad customer service and the frustration of their clients.
Poor benefits. One of the worst benefits packages in South Florida market. Not competitive at all.
Loser's environment. Discriminates employees on "the floor" (customer service reps) and treats them as second-class citizens as opposed to "office" employees (management and IT).
Advice to Senior Management – Invest on the employees; treat them equally. Improve the benefits. Pay more competitive salaries across the board and not only to IT or management. Get your act together with the corporate systems.

Pros – Many tenured employees are just as happy 18 years later as they were the day they were hired. Others come and go if it isn't for them. Just like anywhere, it has to be a match between the employer and employee. For me it is a great match of opportunity and support from my boss.
Cons – Benefits package isn't competitive. 2 weeks vacation is not a good work/family balance. Company needs to address this aspect as well as improve the tuition reimbursement.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great work but take a look at our benefit package so we can retain the best folks.

Pros – You get a paycheck, but you will really need to work for it. No one shares information, and they lack the mgt expertise needed. Many senior mgt have left
Cons – No respect for the employees. Back Door meetings. Information sharing needs work. Some senior leadership is in their positions too long.
Advice to Senior Management – Clean House.;

Pros – The company has really become employee focused in the last few years. There is still a good way to go but they are making the strides to try to become a great place to work. Tripling in size over 3 years is a lot of change in itself and that growth is really exciting to be a part of. Strong management now, a great vision and the resources to accomplish what we want! The best of both worlds, you can have an impact bc the company is small-ish but they have the resources to get things done.
Cons – Like any midsized company that's growing, not everything can be fixed at once. There are still issues leftover from when it was a smaller underperforming org and they'll eventually be fixed...it's like turning a cruise ship, can't happen instantly. The benefits are getting better every year but there is still a way to go, they are competitive now but hopefully one day they'll be really "generous."
Advice to Senior Management – Keep going in the direction you're headed, the employees believe and they see the great changes in the last two years...lets keep going up!

Former Employee – worked at Cross Country Home Services
Pros – Small company with very few over 40 hour weeks. Care for employees home life and small company get togethers to build morale.
Cons – sub par benefits, many layoffs, minimal room for advancement, old technologies used. Many Senior Management executives have left the company recently.
Advice to Senior Management – Senior Management has a lot of closed door meetings and a great deal of information is not shared with the rank and file employees. Focus on new technologies and get rid of the finger pointing and lack of accountability
