I have been working at Crowdflower full-time

    Pros

There are a lot of great things about working at CrowdFlower:

The people are very talented and friendly. We all share an intrinsic motivation to do better in the world.
The benefit package and perks are unbelievable.
    There is opportunity for growth.
They want their employees to learn as much as possible.
We work in a wide range of industry types so there is an opportunity to learn a lot about a wide range of businesses.

I feel very lucky to work here.

    Cons

No real complaints about working here. Work hard, be clear about your goals and the company will help you accomplish them.

I have been working at Crowdflower full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    People are very fun
Easy to move between departments from the entry-level position
Constant updates on the state of the company from senior mgmt
Easy to build on skills that you want to strengthen
Awesome perks: cash towards wellness programs, catered food to work
Trial by fire environment allows you to use your unique problem solving approach - there a million ways to do things, so do it how it works for you!
Environment allows you to be social or studious - you won't go crazy! : )

    Cons

Work/Life balance can be difficult to maintain (typical of start-up). Know when to take a day off!
It can be difficult to get a personal review of your career progress and track for the company
I still don't have a description of what my position is and its track - so this makes it difficult to see where I will be in the future

    I worked at Crowdflower

    Pros

Interesting product, mostly talented people, friendly work environment, good benefit package and decent catering.

    Cons

Inexperienced management making hasty decisions in panic that don't follow their established company values in an attempt to dial-in their market. This leads to many poor outcomes, and at times a strange and uncomfortable energy in the office. Many employees have left recently, seeking greener pastures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your burn rate isn't your most important consideration. If you throw your talented and engaged personnel overboard, there won't be anyone left that cares enough about the ship to bail the water. You would be best served by returning to your corporate values.

    Pros

There are no pros, the pay is below minimum wage, company is currently being sued for violating federal employment practices and they stopped paying their workers 3 weeks ago!

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to actually pay the workers and up the fees to be a legal rate.

    Pros

Interesting product offering and market opportunity, some very high quality team members, company seems to succeed in spite of itself, laid-back startup culture and attitude
