I have been working at Crown Lift Trucks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are ok. But there are many other jobs with benefits...

    Cons

The Denver branch is completely understaffed and disorganized. The managers are there only because they have worked at Crown for 10+ years and know nothing else. Unprofessional. Let's just say that on my first day, I was introduced to a woman who'd been with the company for 18 years and had applied for the position I was hired for.. Nobody bothered to tell her that she didn't get it. They base hiring on generic personality tests, so if you want to get hired, take the test and answer all questions with the answers Crown wants to see. Don't be honest.

    Advice to Management

Take some managerial classes, training on how to communicate, don't blow smoke up anyone's rear, learn how to use proper grammer.

    Pros

Good benefits, clothing allowance, health insurance, vacation time. Can take time off if needed. Good number of vacation days, smaller allowance for sick days. Average pay - flexible in scheduling for special events. Paid training, excellent pro.

    Cons

Working conditions can be difficult during very hot or cold weather, have to work outside in many locations. Having to relocate to move up in the company can be frustrating. Need more pay for those who work in areas that have high housing costs (CA)

    Advice to Management

Areas with high housing costs need to having a higher salary range. Company values are good, Management is good, have had no problems in that area. Would like to not have to transfer to go up in the company.

    Pros

Salary is very competitive and fair, benefits are great, and there is slight flexibility in salaried staff schedules.

    Cons

Very hard to advance. Most positions that are posted already have a candidate in mind. It is truly all about who you know, not whether or not you are qualified.

    Pros

Very reputable company who manufactures, sells, and services a quality product. On top of that, they hire great people. The pay is decent; however, job security is a fair trade-off. Management is fair and personable. Nobody is stuff to too good for anyone else, which is a nice change from the norm.

    Cons

I can't think of anything bad to say about my experience.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

Family environment, helpful training, and lots of experienced individuals to assist you if you encounter any problems. Very veteran friendly.

    Cons

Getting used to a new paperless system has some hiccups but they are minor, once resolved it will be a very efficient system.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Continue to make the employees feel like part of a family.

    Pros

They have the most structured lift truck supply chain to service your fork litf needs, but also the most expensive!

    Cons

In sales they preach about how much money you can make, but if they decide that your making more than they want you to, your territory will be changed. Commissions are paid when the client pays for the product, which is about a 90-120 day turn around. If you leave the company, any commissions due will be forfeited due to terms of job contract. Commonly a sucessful sales person will have $10,000 to $20,000 Pending!!!! GONE. Its ok pay, but consider that you use your own car, and need to replace it every 2 - 3 yrs.

    Advice to Management

Employees and clients are the people who built this company to its current sucess. Its no longer about anything but, the all holy dollar. $$$$
