I worked at Crump Life Insurance Services

    Pros

Fun working atmosphere it was one of the best places I have ever worked in my life very satisfying too

    Cons

Can't think of anything other than maybe changing the name of the company as it is very strange name indeed

    Advice to Management

Maybe an idea would be to spend more time letting employees know where they stand with regards to career advancement chances

    Pros

Great people to work with. Benefits are good. Good amount of PTO time. Nice facilities to work in. Good communication from upper management.

    Cons

Company is bought and sold too much. Quite a few managers are given manager positions because they are friends with upper management. Those managers are terrible to work with as they don't know how to manage people. Some platforms are nice to work in others are not. If you work from home or in another office you are often isolated and not given the proper mentors or help you may need. Several managers do not know how to manage people who telecommute. They don't understand how to support them and help them grow.

    Advice to Management

Make sure managers have the skills and education needed before you promote them. Recognize people who work hard every day. Spot bonuses were a great way to reward employees. Please actually read the employee satisfaction surveys. It would be nice to actually see management take the time and try to correct the major issues on the surveys. The big conference calls everyone gets on quarterly are a waste of time. Most of the info given would be better if it were just emailed. The conference call needs to be 30 min or less with only the most important info given.

Good work-life balance. When you leave you never think of this place again! Never took work home.

    Cons

Poor benefits, a culture that is stifling, really bad pay, no room for growth, no perks, no fun, no light-heartedness, no appreciation.

    Pros

Medium size company that offered autonomy and flexibility. Also was further along on cutting edge technology than most other companies that provided excellent experience.

    Cons

Sometime management was mistakenly proud of running a "lean" department. This very nearly led to my leaving at one point, but fortunate timing of a buyout changed management and a meat grinder environment.
