Pros
Cubist has a great leadership team that is focused on growth, that of the company and employees. Benefits are excellent and the campus has everything you need, including a massage therapist! Overall, great place to work.
Cons
Like many growing companies competition among employees can be tough. This often means management has a tough time rewarding employees for performance when everyone is outperforming. Might also mean management needs to set more ambitious goals.
Pros
Good company and growth, good benefit
Cons
Depending on management groups, some of them is not fair when consider about promotion.
Advice to Senior Management
listen to the people who is actually doing the work
Pros
- Given freedom to complete projects in my own way
- Provided plenty of help whenever needed
- Great internship program with weekly talks to teach you more about the company and industry
- Great work/life balance
- Company provided beer on Friday afternoons.
- Friendly and engaging people
Cons
- Nothing really, but maybe a little too much attention was paid to the style of internal presentations when more groundwork could have been done.
Pros
Rewards and recognition are top notch.
Cons
One bad year can affect your career.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the best employees.
Pros
The salary and benefits are highly competitive for the metro Boston area. The location is highly accessible. The facility expansion will yeild benefits for years to come.
Cons
The company does not follow its own professed culture. It is slow to hire employees and certain areas are heavily saturated with consultants or contractors. Striving to make improvements is stifled by senior management who are fearful in embracing technology. Leadership can not be taken at their word, they profess open communication but it is really a closed door environment. Training? What training? The functional area in which I am in. Leadership will not authorize professional conferences to facilitate improving job improvments. Ah, but they will attend conferences and will send consultants to conferences on the company dime. Go Figure.
Advice to Senior Management
You have a review process where Senior Leadership is allowed to comment and heavily influence on preformance write ups. The reciprocal arrangement to rate leadership is not available. The are poor and incompetent leaders in critical areas.
Pros
Very flexible and open to trying out new ideas. Great to work with colleagues from the industry who are passionate to help patient suffering from MRSA.
Cons
A lot of cross functional projects and hence the ownership for projects sometimes is take away. This could either be a pro or a con.
Pros
It was a great place to be an intern. They paid really well and hosted LOTS of information sessions for interns to go and learn about the pharmaceutical industry.
Cons
Cubist doesn't do a whole lot to reach out to you after your internship. In fact, they do nothing... it was a great experience and I saved a bunch of money that summer, but dont expect a job offer out of it.
Advice to Senior Management
Management is all very polite and professional from my personal experience. However, I don't know how much any intern would really get to know the upper managerial positions.
Pros
neutral, nice location, nice building
Cons
average company, not much comment
Advice to Senior Management
neutral
