Pros
Flexibility, strong resources, Team atmosphere
Cons
This is a very difficult company to make money with unless you are in management
Pros
The only pro I can say about working for Culver is that if you are 22, fresh out of college, and still live with the parents, it's a great job to knock you down and show you what it's like in the real world.
Cons
Where to start... from as early as the interview stage that is where the lies begin. A day in the life of a Culver Recruiter is having to be in the office by 7am and spending your entire day until about 5pm or later being slave driven to Cold Call all day. You are extremely micro managed even though you are told that you own your desk. Most of the offices are ran by managers that are money hungry recruiters and can't lead and train a team because they are too busy hustling themselves hoping that their team will perform so that they get their cut. Descent projects are given to the favorites, lack luster recruiters are not given additional training or constructive criticism.. just nothing to work until they are driven to quit. The culture is about as unprofessional as you can get, creating an unhealthy environment. Turnover is Extremely high, the company used to have 22 offices and 200 recruiters, currently there are 5 left left with as little as 4 people working in each. The pay structure is the biggest joke of it all. You are paid 13 bucks an hour to do aggressive sales and good luck on ever seeing a commission check!
Pros
Great place to gain lots of industry knoweldge, fun people to work with. Managment is really great!
Cons
you'll be sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day, cold-calling.
Advice to Senior Management
the job is a boring job, you need to create a more enjoyable office atmosphere
Pros
The great part about Culver is learning interviewing skill so you can get the heck out of there as soon as possible. One makes many good contacts with other companies.
Cons
Culver is like a high school. It's full of cliques. Management doesn't know how to lead. You'll be stabbed in the back the second you turn around. You'll be belittled for your clothes or how you look.
The pay is a joke, bonuses are a joke, and you have to wait a long time for benefits.
If you want time off, tough luck.
Advice to Senior Management
Grow up! Get with the real world. Stop treating employees like they're disposable. Stop the gossip. Stop the popularity contests.
Pros
You learn a lot about the business world in a short amount of time. It is a great place to get your feet wet in the work world, but not a place to make your career.
Cons
They compensate you in knowledge as opposed to money. There is little to be made in your first couple years at Culver.

Pros
Culver Careers is a fantastic place to work for many reasons. 1) The opportunity to make money is great due to the huge commission rips that our reps receive. 2) Industry knowledge and training is second to none. If you decide to move on from this position, with the knowledge and experience that you receive here, you can apply towards a many other positions. 3) The company environment is fun and youthful. 4) Recognition is constant for top performers within the company. Opportunity for advancement is based upon merit, you get what you put into it. When you hit your numbers, the company will look for a place to promote you to!
Cons
No Base salary for managers; There is no contact manager system in place for recruiters to use in contacting companies and candidates; First year earnings can be low
Advice to Senior Management
Add a contact manager system to help with candidate/company organization. This will greatly increase efficiency in business development and maximize potential in placing every candidate that we come in contact with. Increase commission %'s across the board by 5% and offer an optional base salary for managers.
Pros
This is a great place for someone right out of college. If you are an older worker you will feel ostracized and not part of the group unless you are a vice president and have been with the company since it started (there are a couple of them hanging around). What I mean by older worker is anyone who enters the company and is say 28 years old and up. This company likes to hire 20 to 22 year olds.
Cons
This company, Culver Careers, has a lot of cliques and if you are not part of the "in" crowd you can forget promotions beyond a certain level. They say merit based promotions, but speaking from personal experience, I made Circle of Excellence, billed over $200k in a calendar year, and still could not become a branch manager. Yet they were promoting younger people with lesser records of achievement regularly.
Advice to Senior Management
Get over yourselves. You are not the pinnacle of the recruiting profession or even great leaders, just cheap skates. They make much of the fact that Mike Hobbs, president of the company, promoted into the position without needing a college degree - guess what folks it shows!
