    Culvers was my first job.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsI learned basic customer service skills.
Great shifts, and offered breaks for every 6 hours of work. Half off meals before and after shifts.

ConsIt gets somewhat repetitive sitting behind a cash register. It's a chain restaurant so very specific standards. We have to wear ties everyday and it was a fast food place

    A spectacular first job.

ProsWorking at Culver's taught me how to be genuinely polite and courteous to customers as well as coworkers-a valuable skill I've brought into every job I've worked since. It was a fun environment. The team consisted of mostly high school and college-age students as well as a few full time adult employees. Management was great. I worked there in high school and it was a great job that I look back on fondly!

ConsRaises were very small and it is the only place I have worked at so far that starts you at minimum wage.

    Advice to Senior ManagementMore incentives.

ProsGreat environment, Great Team, The core value of the culvers name is true and was something to believe in. Customer interaction

ConsThere wasn't much for cons that i can speak of. Everything in my position was great,

Advice to Senior ManagementSince we were a pilot store we had the Craig stop in on occasion just to say hi. The way Culvers was ran (can't speak of it now during current times due to lack of experience) was great. Being part of the owner operator part was fantastic and taught me a lot.

I worked at Culvers for two and half years and I will never go back.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Prosco-workers mostly willing to assist and they're fairly flexible with hours as long as you only want to work fast food for the rest of your life and get paid like an animal while trying to pay for college.

ConsManagement is terrible. Owner of the store is never present. Does not want to promote/pay employees

Advice to Senior ManagementBe present, be personable, and know your employees. You shouldn't have to look at their name tags to know who they are. I worked drive thru all but my beginning two months and I always had to pick up my other co-workers slack and management was fine with it. My management at the store was terrible, I was treated like crap by a select few management representatives.

    Eh

    I Do Everything (Current Employee)

ProsDiscount on meals, co-workers start to feel like family, flexible schedule, recognizing costumers and getting to know them on a personal level

ConsNot feeling like a valued employee, low pay for such high demands, sometimes working a 8 hour shift with no break, getting verbally abused everyday by costumers, getting pulled into the office for one slip up but not being recognized for hard work, feeling like the owner has it out for you, overall a really crappy first job

Advice to Senior ManagementStop focusing so much on things that hardly matter and learn how to compliment your employees!
