    Pros

You get a performance improvement plan from management as means of development, easier to write a plan than take ownership of developing and supporting the people.

    Cons

If you want to come to work and be ruled by a firm hand, be held accountable due to management neglect, a smoke screen employed by many to remove any blame from oneself then I would recommend you work for this company.

    Advice to Management

Management need to be held accountable for the lack of their own actions in supporting and developing staff, working with the knowledge your not valued and fear of threats is not the way to motivate your staff in the modern world. Stop hiding behind the façade of site achievements for personal gain, and start working on the people giving them the opportunity and respect they deserve, after all they make the company.

    Pros

Very friendly members of staff who will help you get settled in. Really interesting work. Bonus and medical cover are average (if you do not work on factory floor).

    Cons

Some Senior management who treat you in discriminate manner.
Define uncrackable glass ceiling if you are British and even more so if you are female.
Pay will not increase regardless of contract.
    Job role will be changed.
Working from home at 2am in the morning as well as long hours every day.
Gradings mean even if you have worked hard all year you can go on the at risk of being fired list.
If you work here join the union.

    Advice to Management

Realise the full potential of middle management well educated staff you have and promote accordingly regardless of direct managers opinions.

    Pros

Growing company, good company values, good career growth opportunities

    Cons

High expectations and performance standards require heavy workload - - this is not a place to work if you don't like to work hard

    Advice to Management

There are some weak middle managers that you could afford to lose.

  9. Improve the way that you treat your employees. Abide by your own Vision and Misson

    Cons

Currently we are making redundancies. It's a very stressful time for all.

    Pros

It pays the bills. For now. The Company has a strong name. I believe in the USA, employees are well considered.

    Cons

A lot of frustration due to complexity for doing anything. IT has too many stakeholders for taking any actions that we are too slow to react.
Paid in Sterling but having living expenses indexed on the Euro makes a salary reduction of 50 %,

The orderboard wants to increase , but decisison are made to deliver them at teh end of year , which contains more and more uncertainities. This likely to to end in non orders or cancellations if we wait too long. People were feeling left aside in Kent before the situation turned down. Employee moral was low. The difficulty in this situation is tah company shall also focus on how well they will end the curve. When economy will kick in again , companies that woould have managed more carefully will be able to ramp up quicker than others and will take marketshare... If they have the right people.

    Advice to Management

Monthly measures to reduce workforce does not provide a good message that the company was telling before. We were told the company was strong and had plans in case a downturn was to happen.
Communication is extremely bad and staff is feeling left alone. THe Management team is nowhere to be seen. Looking too much on the US side

    Pros

Excellent product, global company and market leader. There many opportunities for promotion and travel. they encourage and financially support employees further education and development.

    Cons

Over obsession with Diversity. Hire and fire approach and a lack of humanity on a genuine level. There is an information blockage between middle and senior management make it difficult to see how changes are decided upon.Very poor Human Resources Department. Remember not to criticize or question what is perceived as company policy.

    Advice to Management

Improve genuine communication and much greater transparency relating to decision making. To consider how members of staff will think about appointments of people that do not dersve the job but the position is filled purely as a diversity measure.
