    Pros

    401k, and a Bi-weekly check, thats it...

    Cons

false promises, lack of structure, poor mngmnt

    Advice to Management

devise some sort of divided structure between departments, a defined chain of command, SERIOUSLY look into the multiple conflicts of interest, and put in place defined policies that are enforced rather that poorly and hilariously managed

    Pros

Excellent Launchpad for a good career in manufacturing and automotive engineering, great core company values, sincere efforts to accommodate all functionalities in the company, global company with plenty of opportunities to work in different parts of the world

    Cons

Too big a company, too many middle managers, sometimes an engineer begins to feel like somebody else is taking credit for his/ her work, ranking and performance rating system is forced and archaic, no concrete efforts to make engineering the core structure of the company, engineering is still being viewed as a support role next to Operations

    Advice to Management

There is a need to trim the company to encourage new leaders and reduce numerous reporting layers that always plagues a company this big. It is important for Cummins to be a big corporation but work like a small company to be able to survive in the 21st century. There appears to be no revolutionary innovation work going on in the company, which restricts the company's role essentially as an engine supplier and nothing more. There needs to be more efforts devoted towards thinking about the course of the company in the next 20 years.
