I have been working at Cummins full-time

    Pros

Cummins emphasizes diversity from the top leadership team. Unlike most of other companies which declared themselves as diverse, the only hire international students into engineering and/or IT function, every year they hire international students into different function (Finance, Accounting, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Engineering.

    Cons

Middle management team do not fully act the way top leadership wants them to - Micro-management, unfair hiring process spotted once on a while without top management's knowledge. Has really hard time firing incompetent individuals.

I worked at Cummins full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Opportunities to travel, compensation, work-life balance, networking opportunities with others in the company. Opportunity to participate in projects.

    Cons

Location, location, location! Although the city was great, the actual work environment was not. Health insurance isn't the greatest. No accrual of PTO, only allotted days for the year. Job position applied for was not job position actually assigned. Mission and values of company did not trickle down to this site.

I have been working at Cummins full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Salary wise good, Lots of personal time, almost zero interference in after office hours

    Cons

Boring, Travel reimbursement is very delayed, and Travel entitlement is not upto the mark

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve travel entitlements and top level engagement in day to day dealership operation is very high, so field employees get less importance at dealership, since they are direct in touch with top management

    Pros

Great leaders make this company shine and bright. Mid level managers and directors work very hard and creative. There are reasons why this company performs well beyond wall street analysts expectations.

    Cons

To work in this company, you need to draw consensus even when there is a jerk insisted with not so smart things.
