Pros
Great product with amazing potential. Good benefits and salary. You have the ability to work independently. Co workers are helpful.
Cons
No clear direction from management. Very high turnover and unrealistic expectations from employees and the market. They motivate by fear.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize the amazing talent that is already available and reduce turnover. The high turnover is creating credibility issues in the market.
Pros
Fast-paced, lots of opportunities to grow, fair performance evaluation, friendly environment, learning and sharing, flat organization, less political issues, clear objective setting
Cons
sometimes big stress, change fast so you need to be very flexible, work overtime is needed, need tp learn new technologies in short time
Advice to Senior Management
be more open minded to adopt high level professional from external, try leverage core technology to penetrate new market, use global talent and resources
Pros
- ISV leader in PC OEM business, but PC industry is weak
- Talented and hard working engineers. Great support team in Taiwan
- Colleagues are hard working
A Taiwanese company run like a small cap company with 100 employees. Top exec oversees every little detail.
Cons
- Too cheap
- Traditional ways of management, found back in the 1960s
- clueless on marketing and branding in the US
- Control freaks
One of the mission statement goals is FRUGALITY. This says it all!! CL admits they are cheap. Promotions are non-existent unless you slave away 12-14 hours a day and listen to CEO's wishes 100%.
For marketing, uses strange English names to market English locales or incorrect words to market to European locales. Top execs don't listen to those in charge of their locale.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize and learn to trust employees' talents and nurture them. It's only 1 way or the highway.
