    This company treats their employee's very well and offer great benefits.

    They do not have a good home/work life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Management should be more willing to allow flexible schedules. When management hears your concerns and makes adjustments to meet their employee's needs, they will be more motivated to do a better job.

    Pros

    Benefits are good. There is a 2 to 1 401k match to 3%. Good insurance. Other ancillary benefits not often found with other companies (legal plan, paternity leave, etc.).

    Very little opportunity for growth, promotion, or raises

    Advice to Management

    Over the course of my tenure, things went from bad, to worse, then to better. Process and policies have improved significantly over the past 10 months, but there are still no advancement opportunities.

    Very friendly and fun atmosphere. Everyone seems happy to be there and to be doing their job. I was welcomed into the community very quickly as an intern.

    Pros

    Cybersource is a great place to work for flexibility with personal life (Dr. Appointments, Sick, PTO, etc.) The people here are friendly and the Visa campus is really nice. Benefits are great.

    Cons

    There are too many senior managers in Cybersource and many of them don’t reside in the same region as their employees. This is a huge issue because most of your work goes unnoticed. The managers also are not held accountable for anything. They are literally non-participating and are usually not available during work hours, and you’ll only receive answers to your urgent needs after hours in email. They are the type that want you to do all the work and brief them after, which I don’t mind but nobody will ever know all the hard work you did because of that.

    There are seasoned sales people who have been with Cybs for 12+ years, which normally would be a good sign. Not here! All of these sales people are completely unaccountable! They grossly abuse the seniority by never being in the office, attending meeting, or even answering emails regarding their own accounts. No exaggeration….I mean NEVER! And it’s completely acceptable. They are ONLY in the office when their manager comes into town which is maybe once a month. Cybs should use these people to foster a positive working environment and mentorship, instead they have completely missed the mark.

    The original Cybersource employees are afraid of the Visa acquisition, rather than embracing it. Managers included. There is no real reason for this! Visa has been great to work for and has provided many perks and big company environment that Cybersource was missing. The reason for this fear is nearly all the original Cybersource team are lifers. Many of them have NEVER worked anywhere else, or come from such small companies that they don’t know or understand the big company culture.

    Advice to Management

    V -Please read between the lines and understand that the true work is being done right in your office, not by managers who are not even the same time zone as their team.
