Pros
Relatively very good work compared to other Hyderabad companies.
Very very open culture - quick and early feedback.
Got exposure to many different designs.
Change in domain gave lot of new learning
Cons
Frequent schedule changes.
New features coming without detailed specs.
Lot of travel required at short notice.
New senior manager came in at Bangalore bringing politcs to non politcal company. Blindly shutting down and downsided Hyderabad sight. Bringing in own buddys for contractor works.
Advice to Senior Management
Get ride of outsiders - internal managers need to work out the ladder.

Advice to Senior Management
Cypress India believes more on "Stick" than "Carrot". They should become more employee oriented company. So that they can get more quality service from their employee.
Pros
Access to executives. Encourages intiative, risk taking. Fast paced work culture so things are always evolving. In some ways, like a startup
Cons
Some strategy is not coherent. Depends on the whim of the CEO T. J . Rodgers. Enormous amount of time spent preparing for his presentations.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a longer term view of corporate strategy. Culture can be brutal so high powered employees has a tendency to leave.
Pros
Work with brilliant minds
Great benefits
Aggressive atmosphere
Cons
Do they even make any money selling chips? It seemed like all management cared about was price per share. Yes, I know, they did sell chips and make money doing that. But watching lives get trashed because management wanted to see the price per share go up really stunk. Cypress is a real "churn and burn" pit. I think that one out of every twenty hires survives there for more than five years.
Advice to Senior Management
Just get rid of all of your people and automate your fabs. Then you can't wreck other people's lives who trusted in you.
Pros
Hard working culture. Promotions are based on performance not on seniority. Fun, smart people to work with. Bottom line up front.
Cons
Balancing life / work is a challenge. Spend way too much time overjustifying products or decisions. TJ is killer to innovation.
Advice to Senior Management
TJ is too involved in too many things. Everyone acts out of fear of making TJ upset. Managers and their direct reports spend way too much time preparing for the boardroom.
Pros
Any place is a good place at this economy (Just shut your mouth and work)!
Pays for higher education (paid for my masters) and good benefits!
Cons
Fear rules!
F*** is very common word!!!
Employees are treated as a working machines!
Management blames each other!
No one talks straight!!
Advice to Senior Management
Management is not something that is learned in CLASS! It is an attitude/skill you build yourself.
Among the PPP (product, price & People), it is people who bring value to the company.
