    Pros

CyrusOne is a great colocation technology company.

    Cons

Upper management is abrasive and can be considered hostile at times. Hours are long and no concern for work/life balance. Some senior managers lack professionalism, corporate experience and direction, and maturity (ie: speak ill of fellow employees and direct reports).
Would not be surprised if a lawsuit is filed from an employee for ethics violation or if the company fails an audit.

    Pros

The pay is good. Hours can sometimes be long, but it shows on your paycheck.

    Cons

Must be available to come in on a whim do to critical infrastructure.

    Advice to Management

    Keep valuing your employees.

    Pros

Great employees (those that are left), very nice facilities, excellent pay and pretty good benefits.

    Cons

If you want to feel like you are drowning everyday, then this is the place for you. The CEO is either so out-of-touch or just doesn't care, but it is the most dysfunctional company from the top down. Every organization/department operates on their own set of objectives and then can't understand why everything doesn't work together. Critical infrastructure, systems, and security are all held together with band-aids and duct tape. Nothing can ever be completed more than 60%. I used to say 80%. but that's impossible anymore. The work load on employees is unbelievable and they keep piling it on. There is NO work/life balance anymore. The senior leadership chooses to invest in shiny objects and a lot of eye candy to impress customers while the internal operations is minutes, hours, and days away from crumbling. They can build a data center in record time that looks beautiful from the outside, but on the inside is a mess of infrastructure that is under-spec'd, put together incorrectly, and only completed at 60% to meet deadlines. And there is never enough time to go back and complete it to 100%. I think the senior leadership is just hanging on to get their stock awards and could care less about what is really going on internally.

    Advice to Management

New leadership is desperately needed. CEO and all his directs need to go. Stop building and focus on operational excellence. Have a core set of objectives that all departments work towards. Stop investing in shiny objects and eye candy and start investing in critical infrastructure and people to manage it.

    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, good coworkers, free bottled water, the occasional free lunch, some would consider this location to be a fraternity house

    Cons

Management will say one thing and do another. 60-80 hour work weeks. They will tell you that you will work a 3 month rotation on nights but that's far from true. Not very much room for growth. Managers will tell you what you want to hear and not be direct.

    Advice to Management

Standup for yourself and your employees.

    Pros

Great co-workers and fast paced environment

    Cons

    Micro management from bean counters

    Advice to Management

Trust your lower management and keep this company going in a positive way and think about the little people that slave hard for your paycheck

    Pros

Interesting and solid products, growing category, very entrepreneurial environment. Company is doing a lot of things right and is really making a name for itself. The people have high integrity and they are focused on treating customers very well.

    Cons

Systems are stretched and there seems to be a lot of VPs but there needs to be more help at the level where the customer support work gets accomplished.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for people to submit anonymous feedback and ideas. Share more incentives like stock options rather than keeping it all for senior management.

  9. Unqualified leader who steal other peoples ideas for their advancement.

    Pros

There is a lot of great workers who help each other when needed and they try to develop a team.

    Cons

Its obvious that the current lead has no experience in leadership, management, and working with team members. This person demands respect from the the workers he steals ideas from and or passes his mistakes onto. It is very apparent that he helps train his new hire friends before the other new hires that started at the same time.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone with the knowledge of the business and not an immature brat.

    Pros

Supportive, open culture that is focused on providing our customers with great service. People don't hide here as they all try to get the job done for customers. Work/Life balance varies by department, but as any growing company experiences, there are some growing pains with internal systems...Encouraged to expand responsibilities and take risks

    Cons

Need to be energetic and focused here. No room to hide and no room for dead weight. Some departments are stretched as systems are still being worked on...hopefully improving soon.

    Advice to Management

CEO is great, despite what others have claimed. He is focused on communication, keeping an entrepreneurial environment, and cutting through the red tape that develops when companies grow. Seems like some departments get all the resources while others are resource-constrained.
