    Pros

Got paid for nearly seven years and travel on the company dime globally. Stock is performing well - which is remarkable given how terrible the ELT

    Cons

Worst supply chain and procurement group I have been associated with in 30 years professional experience ! Unethical, vindictive, scrupulous lacking leadership

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house, GEO runs sourcing organization. Find a strong Supply chain executive since your current one has seven years of failures.

    Pros

Great business Wonderful Customers such as Boeing just to name one of the largest,Carbon Fiber in demand and a Great Future.

    Cons

Old power trip management Large 401k stock holders that don't want to let go of power. Hourly Workers managed by fear tactics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great Corporate HR that's been more than kind to old School inefficient management. Most old School management came from hourly floor Jobs and talk daily about how they wish they had never went salary. Most inefficient but honest and will tell you one on one Curve is a Joke, most don't believe in what they are trying to sell you.

    I worked at Cytec full-time

    Pros

The company offers true experience in global business. Also, it offers an environment of opportunities to expand your experience if you choose to.

    Cons

Some roles need to be better defined within the organization. The company experienced a major transformation in recent years, consequently, there are people tripping over each other in roles and responsibilities. It is getting better but still needs improving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should continually evaluate roles and responsibilities and keep in mind that just because an individual is very good at what they do, it doesn't necessarily translate into success when assigned to other responsibilities (i.e. managing people).

I have been working at Cytec full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Cytec's people and customers. Exciting growth industry. Great company to work for once upon a time.

    Cons

Cytec has lost the meaning of being of leader in the industry, with the Customer, and most definitely with their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start with accountability from the top down, listen to what people are saying for positive change. Continue to do nothing and good employees will continue to leave.

I have been working at Cytec full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great financial results, allows some flexibility in work locations, gives paid maternity and paternity leave, technology leader, trying to change the culture, many people giving 1000%

    Cons

Very high stress environment in some locations, most areas are under resourced to deal with the amount of issues that need to be addressed, out dated computer systems, upper management does not see people as a priority or a valuable asset for the company,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We talk about empowerment and risk tolerance but our CAPEX process requires Board or CEO approval at minimal levels compared with peer companies. We are suffering the effects of not having made investments sooner and are putting current and future business at risk by not building capacity before it was needed.

The great companies today have inspirational leaders whose engagement inspires employees of all levels to work toward the final goal.

    Pros

Only if you are looking for building up experience

    Cons

So many. Management play favorite and more managers than researchers. No innovations.
If you declare that you don't like work in the lab, you will be promoted to a manager.
Travel around the world on company expenses for no reason.
Good people are all gone and there is no future for Cytec

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell all your stocks and prepare to sell the company
