Pros
Great brand, well meaning people. Customers need DNB data to make important credit decisions. The company has a strong competitive position and can weather even the worst economic storms.
Cons
Very transactional environment. There is little sense of team and management does not know how to build a culture that hold people accountable and is a positive environment. It is a fear based environment. A good place to be for a few years and then to move on.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to build a high performing team. Fear is good for short term results but is a terrible way to motivate medium and long term.
Pros
Great name
Surburban lifestyle
Across from the Mall
Cons
Head Count Reduction is over used as a "Business Reengineering" tactic
No formal on-boarding process that is followed
Pros
Good work/life balance, decent vacation time and above average benefits, especially good health insurance. Decent pay with annual increases. Generally friendly work environment
Cons
Not overly competent senior management which seems to change it strategy constantly. Innovation is not taken very seriously and new product development is lagging. Lots of "lifers" who make it hard for new people to grow.
Advice to Senior Management
Putting everybody in a cubicle doesn't create a "winning culture" , try to be different and replenish your product pipeline, otherwise the competition will eat you alive
Pros
Lots of opportunities to improve
Cons
Difficult to get anything improved
Advice to Senior Management
Pay attention to the world around you.
Pros
I think Senior management is very competent. C-level executives know what they are doing. Leadership skills are more than exceptional.
Cons
Knowledge base is lacking. Knowledge sharing is lacking. The cafeteria in the building next door is below average. I do not recommend unless you think you can change that.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you're doing. However, try getting down to the lowest level of employees and make sure information is being shared accurately and efficiently.
Pros
Great opportunities to learn
Talented and helpful colleagues
Nice office/work environment
The company is quite young in Dublin and things are slowly getting better
Great CTO in Dublin
Cons
Short term goals are too important, strategic long term ideas are turned down for this reason
The company is held hostage by third party contracting companies and cannot innovate because of this
Long term relationships with external development contractors makes everything too expansive and slow, slow to react to the market.
Politics rule every little decision and good ideas are often turned down for no apparent reason
Promises to employees not always met
The Company wants to innovate but when innovation is presented business owners become scared and refuse any proposed change
When delivery time arrives, development teams are worked too hard and this has caused low retention of talent
Too many managers and too few people who make it happen
Bonus system is poor and does not reward top performers
No employee stock ownership program, outdated system
Advice to Senior Management
The Dublin office needs to be empowered to make the difference and drive innovation.
Look at the ideas coming from the ground floor and think long term
Less talk, more action, cut at least one level of management
Pros
Great work / life balance. Competitive pay and bonus. Lots of smart people. Generous vacation days. Too much focus on making monthly/quarters goals
Cons
Highly political culture. Very little room to grow professionally. Can easily be stuck in same role for years. Constant reorganization and downsizing.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on career development for you employees. There is very low morale in the lower ranks. Develop long term strategic plans instead quarter to quarter.
Pros
There is an extreme emphasis given to leadership development.
Tuition reimbursement.
An overall push to develop employee's skills who want to develop.
Cons
There is a limit to some professional develop since jobs in this company are moving to other countries other then the United States. The company may be growing but it seams to be growing outside the United States.
The company focuses on matching other companies in employee compensation instead of trying to distinguishing themselves from others.
Pros
Opportunities for career advancement are good.
Very technology oriented environment and current systems really enable you to stay competitive professionally.
Cons
The hours can be long
Lots of analytics that may end up going nowhere
Difficult to move up within the same group.
Advice to Senior Management
Please take some time to create a rotational program for Associate level employees.
Pros
brand, behaviour, carrier, businees sector, finance
Cons
stress, tareget, american , behaviour, weather
