    Pros

learned what not to do with next small company

    Cons

CEO changed compensation plans when they became too lucrative, churns workforce often to get new workers for less, only a few good experienced consultants hold the place in order, CEO lacks providing credit to anyone but himself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO should step aside, focus on sales, and get a true leader in that has appreciation for people.

    Pros

Solid firm of eDiscovery, acquiring small players in select cities to expand their growth. handling growth will be a challenge. Possible merger in long term

    Cons

Many sales staff without any legal selling experience, could pose issues down the road. Compensation far less than other firms.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand beyond legal, get to BI space.

Actual Revenue generated not reflective in P/L of SBU

Former Employee - Managing Director in Buffalo, NY
Former Employee - Managing Director in Buffalo, NY

    I worked at D4 full-time

    Pros

Autonomy is position and responsibility. Generous expense account. Great support from Discovery Engineers. Constantly adapting to changes within EDD and computer forensics space and implementation of latest and greatest technologies to better accomodate needs of lients. Support marketing department when identifying new marketing opportunities is excellent.

    Cons

Company attempting to grow too fast, lack of funds to pay employees- resulting in unwarranted termination, lack of job security. Updating of actual SBU when needed is totally lackluster. Little to no training of sales team and customer support. ESI work handled in corporate headquarters undercutting sales team actual sales productivity and compensation- effectiing compensation and quarterly bonus. Sales kept out of loop in regards to ongoing revenue generated from ongoing projects- negatively effecting compensation. Although the company adapts and remains in front of the curve in regards to service offerings- D4 is subpar in every other area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Look at the cons.
