I have been working at DBI Beverage full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great coworkers, convenient steady employement and hours

    Cons

Supervisor who cannot read or write, bad directions, constantly sent to wrong city, managment defending the bad supervisor, management does not know or understand draft and draft systems, lack of industry knowledge, inability to complete a monthly employee schedule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not hire friends and family. This never works. If you are going to have a draft supervisor, make sure they know draft systems. Lost a good worker because you guys would not listen to him and now we are all jammed.

I worked at DBI Beverage full-time for less than a year

    Pros

none that come to mind, unless you like to feel crappy and feel like you're underperforming at work each day.

    Cons

too many to mention. pay. following own policies and procedures. a "core" group of "key" employees stays, and does whatever they want to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get a new HR department. fully. start anew. maybe in TN they are ok, but CA -- rotten. every one. particularly the main one. perhaps brushing up on laws and getting some training and maybe a certification wouldn't hurt. could learn a thing or two about a thing or a hundred.

Terrible pay, treat you like crap, raises are 25 cents a year work hard rewarded with do more work while upper management sits on their ass and gets bonuses of your back and you get nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out why people are so pissed off, get out of the office and work a little bit some time hire enough workers to cover your territory and stop acting like we are lucky you let us work for such a good company........

I have been working at DBI Beverage

    Pros

clean environment, friendly coworkers, free beer sometimes, good benefits, HR people are all very helpful and nice, company treats its employees well, overall a good place to work.

    Cons

small company and privately owned, so no stocks options. Not a lot of room to grow professionally, but considered a stepping stone to bigger companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think of the big picture, have a vision for where the company is going, expand the business to not only serve Norcal.

    I worked at DBI Beverage

    Pros

Lots of fun nights out and you get to understand the bar industry very well. Not to mention you make some great relationships through suppliers and owners.

    Cons

You have to push a lot of product that will never sell, the company doesn't give sales reps the freedom to do their job correctly because you have to be in the office every morning and evening. This was really ineffective and with your competitors out and about during the evenings it killed time we should have been at accounts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't slur your words so much and learn not to have so many hidden agendas.
