    I worked at DC electronics

    Pros

Opportunity to do and learn various things. Opportunity to travel. You are on your own and must be self motivate, self starter.

    Cons

Top management can be disconnected and inconsistant. You will not learn from them, rather they are looking to learn from you. This isnt a bad thing, just something to consider.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's ok to have a heart and let it bleed a little when it comes to your faithful employees. Detailed planning is a good thing. Take time to learn how to build a solid team.

    Pros

Some employees were very nice people to work with.

    Cons

So disfunctional of a company ! Period!!! They use bullying tactics and impeded your ability to manage. Was threatened and humiliated trying to perform my job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop bullying your employees to the point were you make them believe its ok. Do your jobs and support your employees.

    Pros

    I can think of none.

    Cons

Management does not plan properly or value their employees. There is no team cohesion, growth opportunity, or a work-life balance. Anyone trying to change the way this company does business will be managed out. The company has invested in its capital equipment instead of developing its employees. Nepotism runs rampant. Some, not all the managers are disconnected from the reality of their departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your greatest assets are your employees, invest in developing them.

I have been working at DC electronics

    Pros

Good for people who just arrived in America, i guess

    Cons

There is absolutely no room for growth in this company, the executives & management wont allow it. Once they see that you are one of the sharper tools in the shed, they'll even try to demote you. They are unfair and do not appreciate any of their employees. They always make you feel like you owe them your job and nothing you do will ever repay that. There are a many anomalies going on in this company. Management spend more time gossiping than actually working, and give all their jobs to those lower than them, who only make a mere fraction of their salaries. The higher management feel like they are CEOs and Directors of really big & popular companies & belittle everyone else, even people with degrees equally as good as theirs, or maybe even better. No matter how long they have been in the business, they cant seem to get their process correct. Highly discriminative. The list just goes on and on. They will try to cheat their employees & customers as long as they can, until they get caught, and when they do, they are really good at manipulating the situation to make it look like something else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep your head in the clouds & your feet on the ground

I worked at DC electronics full-time

    Pros

    Hours are flexible
    Minimal Management Guidance

    Cons

-Company is run by a highly impulsive and emotion-driven CEO, who has some business sense, but lacks skill. Important decisions made one day will be completely reversed.
-CEO works only a few hours per week and is unavailable most of the time.
-All ambitious, qualified people that come on board either leave very soon or get fired because they attempt to improve things, leaving mostly unmotivated, marginally qualified employees that live in continuous fear for the CEO's frills..
-Executive egos are much more important than employees or customers.
-At the time I was there, production planning at DC equated to the VP deciding what projects get priority, without any formal planning - causing a wide range of issues.
-IT and ERP systems are hopelessly outdated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO has to realize that making impulsive, continuously changing decisions is detrimental to the health of the company, its employees and its customers.
