    Disrespected

    Pros

The Hours to work are convienent. If you want to have a place to grow this is a good start

    Cons

The sales staff is lacking experience. There are to many No's in there vocabulary. They do not pay your worth, instead they blame you for their own managerial problems. I see it in the mechanics faces that they are not happy because they do not have proper stock and the mechanics wait along time for there supplies to do there job which makes the customers upset.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of watching the numbers on the screen. Spend a couple of days in your departments and watch and hear what goes on in the forefront of your business. Whether it is sales. Service. Parts. Internal and managerial

    Pros

High stress low pay management that don't care about their employees

    Cons

Nothing is good about this company. They have no employee values. They don't care about any of their employees. If they could they will make you pay to work there

    Pros

Many dealerships throughout nj and ny.

    Cons

Management moves around constantly. I worked for DCH for five years. In five years I had three different GMs and seven different GSMs. Worst part is renogotiating your salary and schedule every time this happens. I loved my job but needed more stability as far as money, schedule and comissions. I am at a family owned dealer now two years and counting and they have been consistant with everything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop moving the managers around as much. Make sure they are quAlified before hiring. Also, just because you are a great closer it doesn't make you a great manager. Managing a group of salesmen is not an easy task. Closers and managers should be separate.

    Pros

Because it is a corporation you won't get cheated out of time off and such.

    Cons

The only thing that is constant is change. They bring in new management and give them six months to fix years of problems. Then they let them go. They continue to create jobs and then take them away end of year. Just to add then again with a Month or so.
Also they no longer have a criteria for hiring anyone. Strippers, x cons. Everyone is welcome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

First impressions are important. Dress codes should be mandatory. Stop letting new managers bring "their crew" from previous dealer with them. It always leads to unfair treatment to the veteran staff. Way too many clicks.

    Pros

As an auto group, DCH does look out for its employees. However, that doesn't always translate to each of their dealerships.

    Cons

There is very little that standardizes how each store is operated. Rather, each is left to its own. Much different than other large auto groups

    Pros

Company has a great point of differentiation in retail auto sales.

Great for employees that have a 10 year+ tenure.

Good perks for senior level employees.

    Cons

Senior leadership is weak and short sited. They exhibit the typical micro manager syndrome of those who are not comfortable with new ideas and will never be direct with what they are thinking... beware.

Don't always follow their corporate mission of making customers and employees "happy." No respect for employee personal life (relocating staff without inquiring if it's ok with their personal situation).

Almost all of the staff feels like the company mission is just words in a pamphlet (i.e. BS), they just want to move metal.

They expect "everyone" to work hours of cars salesmen (late nights & weekends), regardless of workload.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in better leadership that understands how to build a brand for your company.
