Great learning opportunity, decent work environment

Former Employee - Molecular Lab Technician in Indianapolis, IN

I worked at DCL Medical Labs as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I worked in the molecular lab as a technician on a medical device trial. The management style was good and the workload was fine. They paid me well for the work I did. I learned a lot about the clinical device trial process.

    Cons

Due to the delay in delivery and processing of samples before they got to me, sometimes I had to hurry up and wait for the work to come in to my lab.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No complaints, I think the management hierarchy is very well designed.

I worked at DCL Medical Labs

    Pros

I worked with some great people who were in the trenches, so to speak. I will always think highly of them. At first, DCL gave me the opportunity to use my experience to make things better. I was able to successfully implement some good initiatives.

    Cons

Senior management was often threatened by the employees who had something to bring to the table. It seemed to be a very passive-aggressive environment. The President wanted things to be right, but the Executive Team prevented it frequently, and participated in shady activities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees who are trying to do things right, because ultimately they will make you look good, not threaten you!
