    Pros

    Leading company in it's field. Good benefits.

    Cons

    Like many companies today DENTSPLY has moved it;s focus to increasing stock price and behaviors of senior management reflect this focus. It forgot what made it the number 1 company in the industry. Decisions are based on what the stock price will do and not on the future benefit to the company.

    Advice to Management

    Get in better touch with your average employees. Stop telling each other what you want to hear and get back to the basics.

    Pros

    3 billion dollar company. Secure. Many talented people.

    Cons

    Desperate culture. Fear based environment for sales reps. Quotas too high. No real new product launches just, " me too" products posed as new.

    Advice to Management

    Create an environment of success. Less than 25 percent of reps hit quota. Are the reps failing Dentsply or is Dentsply failing them? How can u expect success when selling same brands of years. The market is changing. Change with it.

    Good policies and procedures. Company always pushed to improve.

    Aggressive in downsizing. Combining companies quickly.

    Watch your companies and not the stock market.

    Pros

    Great stock, competitive salaries & great production personnel.

    Cons

    Salary personnel work long hours. Middle management has NO clue to task on hand and are mean & cut-throat to each other, reactive not proactive due to NEVER money in budget to do things right! Work with 40+ year old tooth molding equipment that has seen it's better days! GM left due to cheap corporate ways! Corporate old school and good ole boy system that is out of touch with facilities and production personnel. Too worried about bonus incentives to take time out of day to visit facilities and talk with people.

    Advice to Management

    Invest into latest technology for tooth molding equipment than sit on yearly bonuses! Visit the facilities more that once a year and talk with the people who do the jobs than listen to middle management.

    Pros

    Promotions do not happen only at year end. People always talk sweetly in person meetings and on emails. Some people are actually nice.

    Cons

    No work life balance unless you are executive or a hourly worker. Lags in technology, product development. Does not recognize talent; unable to put right people in technology which adds to the problem multi-fold as it increases the burden on anyone and everyone who uses any system.

    Advice to Management

    A higher growth of income from operations than sales growth is showing as everyone is burning out. It might be too late to grow the company if the work life balance is not addressed. Reduce the top layer excess.

    Pros

    Excellent experience and many avenues to move up in the company. I left for an extordinary offer at the top level of the Dental industry. the money was excellent.

    Cons

    None really> It is a large company with many employees, So you must stand out to move up.

    Advice to Management

    pay more attention to field rep performance.
