Pros
Opportunities for advancement. Good pay and benefits package. Decent life to work balance. The day to day operations offered something new on a regular basis.
Cons
Lack of direction in regards to long term planning. Seemed to be more reactive than proactive. The company has resources, but they are not always utilized in the best way.
Advice to Senior Management
Poor fiscal sense at the senior level. Just because a company had the resources, doesn't mean they always used them as they should. Build infrastructure before you release a massive commercial campaign.
Pros
Global, cosmopolitan, meet people from everywhere in the world, lots of potential as a game changer in the logistics sector
Cons
Be very careful of senior management in Asia, HR is totally unstructured and differ between corporate and business divisions, quality of senior management is poor and there is a strong expatriate circle
Advice to Senior Management
Audit of HR process especially at corporate divisions; plan for a better mix of Asian and expat senior managers; drive a common worldwide HR policy instead of having area management dictate how to run their offices
Pros
Vast Global Network across many sectors.
Huge resource to pull information from.
Varied multicultural workforce.
High H&S standards
Cons
Salary/wages not great. There can be different pay for people doing the exact same role.
Difference in processes between sectors.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to promote the right people and provide adequate local training to staff instead of providing reactive training at the last minute.
Pros
high level of Health and Safety
lots of opportunities to progress and learn new skills
management briefs, good communication about important issues and changes
Cons
I don't like the working hours, some of the shift are 11.30 to 20.30
Pros
International company
Gives you a lot of insight about the logistics industry
Cons
Lack of communication from Top Management
Extremely long working hours
Poor HR management
Just focused on profit growth and not on personnel development
Advice to Senior Management
You may try to implement strategies to improve employee's morale and benefits
Pros
Great environment to work in
Cons
The Pay could be better
Advice to Senior Management
Will be good to offer better benefits
Pros
Great name of "DHL" helps to builds big image of company. Especially since it's owned by Deutsche Post, "made in Germany" still sells.
Cons
Working at DHL ITS Cyberjaya is like facing a bunch a bossy Management with zero knowledge.
Somehow they always mistrust their staff by treating us like kindergarten child.
It doesn't reflect "a German Company" at all.
It fails in attitude as well as working ethic.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to use your ears more often. Life is not about licking up and stepping your subordinates!
Pros
There is no best reasons. 1 reason may be the work pressure is less
Cons
The people who wants to work will not allowed to do so. There is no room for quality work. If you can oil your manager then you will get everything in spite if u r in bench and not doing anything
Advice to Senior Management
Need to be more proactive. Try to understand and quality of a person and how they want to work rather that putting unnecessary pressure . They need to stop behaving like a school principal or like a head master
Pros
Large organization, exposure on global enterprise business
Cons
Too large, communication breakdown within the organisation
Advice to Senior Management
Don't scream at employees
Hire managers who know how to lead people
Pros
Great opportunity for people who want to burn the candle at both ends.
Cons
The divisions are too fragmented.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at the base of the pyramid. Its what keeps the building standing.
