Pros
Market leader
Well recognised brand
Benefits quite ok
Cons
Too demanding
No work life balance
Advice to Senior Management
Less demanding
Pros
Ideas can be made at all levels, passed up the chain reasonably quickly and passed through the business case process reasonably quickly
Cons
There is a lot of red tape surrounding larger investments even if the numbers stack up locally and a long term plan is in place.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you do well and enable the staff to have the tools to do their job effectively and efficinetly.
Pros
company making a major effort in this region and work here is a high priority to management, good recognition for effort. Company has a global presence so opportunities for assignments in different regions are there.
Cons
mgt underestimated the complexity reengineering IT infrastructure, lost a lot of intellectual capital in some of the acquisitions so challenging working with the older technology.
Pros
The reason why I worked at Dhl express is because of great pay, great benefits, great managment and a lot of hours.
Cons
The downside of working for DHL is the rude customers. You just have to not take it personally because that's the nature of the customer service position.
Advice to Senior Management
The leadership at DHL Express is great. Great team work and leadership.
Pros
Training for my class was the best in the industry, but they didn't continue with later classes.
Cons
Terrible pay, high stress environment, too many levels of management, horrbile changes, closures, forced out employees since German Post Office took over.
Advice to Senior Management
US service is a joke, the company is nothing like it was. DHL was a great company...but not any more.
Pros

Cons
no upward mobility, or career advancement
Advice to Senior Management

Advice to Senior Management
You need to have longer learnings period for the people who start to driv vans. Another thing is to have more people who drives car
Pros
DHL offers a good working environment with the ability to take on additional responsibilities to broaden one's skills. The employees who work hard and show results are generally rewarded in time with growth opportunities.
Cons
Typical to many larger companies, some situations are very political and too much red tape in the decisionmaking process. Since the company has downsized drastically, the number of opportunities available has become more limited.
Pros
It's a really good enviroment that helps you to develop your skills, the company is very professional and that is important
Cons
sometimes it's really hard to work because there's a lot to do and our boss is really strict but it's not that bad
Advice to Senior Management
Just give us some more time of and we wold appretiate that. And also a raise wouldn't be bad for us
Pros
good compensation and career development
Cons
highly competitive, work-life balance needs to be improved
