Pros
Great benefits and conditions for good people, very challenging environment, lots to learn, lots of new technologies
Cons
Senior management lacks 'touch to reality' and focus, extremely political environment, can become extremely stressful and life/work balance can at times be nonexistant.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop focusing on pet projects, stop acting as individuals, treat your staff with respect
Pros
Not a toxic environment--can say it is collaborative. Overall a pleasant place to work--nobody tries to make life difficult for anyone else. Sufficient opportunities to receive new training and try out different roles. A great deal of camaraderie. Decent work hours and compensation. Steady and stable job with very few individuals ever being given both responsibility and authority.
Cons
5-10% of management team is misaligned with the overall goal of the organization. Extreme turnover in middle management due to people moving around the company and out. Diversity within management is non-existent and in spite of external promises to fix this issue--diverse individuals are mostly hired in non-core business/non-revenue generating roles to play "safe" with the most important jobs. Very fragmented, delayed and sudden communication on upcoming changes. Most individuals either have responsibility or authority--very few cases in which an individual has both.
Advice to Senior Management
Too many unnecessary layers of management just to collate information and present it up to the corporate board. Put in more IT systems to do reporting for the numbers you require, not people that can be pointed to when the numbers go wrong, especially when these people have no budget or direct line reports to do anything concrete other than to "persuade" or point fingers at others down the line.
Pros
Lots of opportunities - carrerwise as well as educational
Truly global environment
Decent benefits
Great brand recognition
Well respected brand whithin the logistics industry
Cons
Too much politics wich sometimes makes the organization lose track of what is really important, ie results.
Poor information from management
The company seems to suffer from bi-annual large organizational changes on a global (as well as country) level
Pros
Empowerment to employees, value succession planning, innovative and creative
Cons
Limited engagement, long working hours
Pros
good with time off needed for family issues
Cons
Too many in upper management...needs to be cleaned up.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the Union...it works!

Large company with many opportunities for advancement. Business partners on the logistical side of things create further opportunity. Unionised workforce, unless you consider that a con. Excellent pension package.
