Current Intern - Anonymous Intern in New York, NY

I have been working at DKNY as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Interning in DKNY, they do provide some training to match the jobs. You will learn the process of design, production, and finally sales. You can also meet new friends here. And they want you to go home as normal business hour.

    Cons

The tasks are specific, so if you want to learn other aspects, you need to go small company. It's less stressful than you expected. you might have less challenge than other company.

Former Employee - Assistant Manager in New York, NY

I worked at DKNY full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The employee discount is the only pro I can think of. Also a few good events from time to time ( decent benefits for full time employees)

    Cons

overworked, low pay, non-experienced store management team, poor business ethics. Store managers have no respect for employees and favoritism is blunt and tolerable. There's no equal opportunity for growth. Managers and Directors are strong believers on " who you know" instead of evaluating for work eithics and skills.
    TERRIBLE

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

a miracle or look to retrain store managers and directors

I worked at DKNY full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great discounts and great people to work with.

    Cons

Debatable senior/corporate management hires from competing brands that resulted in political/personal changes in hiring/termination practices to get their "people" into the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loyalty and brand ambassadors are hard to come by in this industry nowadays. Know those who helped to start and promote the brand who will remain loyal advocates to the brand, instead of bringing in outsiders to do things that AREN'T the brand, but our competitors ways.
