Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta full-time for more than a year
Pros – I would say the best aspects of DMC start with the managers you work under. They are not only knowledgeable in their fields but extremely accessible on a day to day basis. They have a great energy! As far as the management development program, I could not recommend a better learning environment. I studied abroad in Costa Rica, and I strongly believe that emersion is the best mode of taking in new information, and DMC offers you that in the business world. Also, being new to the Atlanta area and in a committed relationship, it was nice to be a part of a company that welcomed us and invited us to learn the area even if it was to just go bowling or eat at a new restaurant outside of work. Very inviting!
Cons – The managers push you to try new things like public speaking or running a meeting that for me weren't totally in my comfort zone, but that is the nature of the program. Being a perfectionist, I wanted to know 100 % that I was ready, but the managers want you to stretch your abilities. Another thing that I felt like most employees struggled with was dealing with the reality of not being great of every aspect of business. I know that I was used to everything coming pretty naturally to me, but when I had to work hard to understand a new aspect of business I was definitely challenged to stay on task. Be prepared to be tested!

Pros – They want you to succeed so getting promoted is easy as long as you are doing your job well. Although it is cold sales, it doesn't feel like you are in competition with your co-workers.
Cons – A lot of driving, Cold sales, Commissioned work, time consuming

Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta full-time for less than a year
Pros – You get to meet tons of new people and are presented with an unlimited opportunity. Lots of paid-for travel as well.
Cons – compensation fluctuates based on performance/production. Long hours
Advice to Senior Management – compensation for far out travel would be nothing more than reasonable

Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta full-time for more than a year
Pros – I started with DMC right out of college with no "real" work experience. During my time at DMC I learned so much about leadership, team building and gained overall business experience. Also, the opportunity to work in a team environment where every person cared about your success is so rewarding. DMC was defiantly a place that I would look forward to going to work every single day. With hard work and dedication a person can really be successful within this business.
Cons – There is a large time commitment to move into a management position.

Current Employee – been working at DMC Atlanta full-time for less than a year
Pros – DMC Atlanta provides the proper training to be great in sales. The work environment is very positive with pre-management meetings held to constantly be reminders to think "big picture".The atmosphere at the work place is also fun even though we're learning at the same time. I actually look forward to going to work each day. This business will help you grow personally as well as professionally. The growth potential is unlimited. Management is also very supportive of everyone in the business. To succeed at DMC Atlanta, you must help others.
Cons – Benefits could be better for non-management.

Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta
Pros – I would venture to say the experience working with DMC gave me skills that you simply can't learn sitting in a class room ie. how to read people, how to communicate your point effectively, how to have someone invest in your idea. The team at DMC have a proven track record of effective training, motivating, and incredible work ethic.
Also, this is a place that to succeed, you must put in the work, it only works if you work with the system, and I must say, they have had tremendous success with those who work with it.
One of the biggest assets however, is their leader is a fantastic one at that. Adam has vision, competence, and flexibility, and is eager to share his employees' successes and work with them through their shortcomings, b/c he realizes that their success is his success, and their shortcomings, are his as well. VERY few employers have mastered that art.
Cons – Very tough if you don't do well in a commission based position. However, those who thrive in it do great.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great work, and remember to constantly instill the good values you teach to your people, that they represent something bigger than themselves, and you will continue to be successful.

Pros – *There is a good opportunity for personal growth. It's even possible that you start your own business within a year.
*There are no caps on comission. If you work for DirecTV campaign, you get paid per DirecTV account sold (and installed). The more you sell, the more you make.
Cons – *Salary is comission only. There is a base, but if you make less than the base, they will deduct the difference from next week's paycheck.
*There are no additional benefits such as a healthcare plan or 401k.
*You need to work on the weekends (for some campaigns such as DirecTV).

Current Employee – been working at DMC Atlanta
Pros – I've been working for the company for several months now. Not sure where anyone got the idea that it's door to door sales? They have some people who do b2b sales but no one doing any kid of residential sales.
I'm on the retail program, which is an inside sales & promotions position. I love what I do, make great money (average $700-$900/week with my base plus commission), and have been promoted several times. Management and the people in the office are awesome.
Gas is expensive right now, but is expensive everywhere -- no matter where you work you have to drive there, so I don't see the big deal.
Cons – Benefits could be better. It is hard work so for me that is a pro, but I guess some people would see it as a con.

Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta
Pros – DMC provided me with a positive learning environment with unlimited support from management. The training is great and the sales skills that I learned are irreplaceable. Also learned a lot about how to manage other people.
Cons – The job description is outside sales so there is a fair amount of time spent in your car. Traffic and travel can be frustrating.

Former Employee – worked at DMC Atlanta
Pros – You have a lot of freedom and learn a lot in a very short period of time. Get a lot of support.
Cons – Leadership is not very good and they have people in training that do not know how to manage people. Will accept anyone who is willing to work no matter thier experiance. Hire people who do not have sales personalities and this causes a very very large turnover rate.
