DMEa is great and the best company that I've worked for, has a great team dynamic, and the culture is amazing.

I have been working at DMEautomotive full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

DMEa cares deeply about their customers, has great opportunity with promotions within their succession planning. They hand out awarded prizes for meeting and exceeding company goals.

    Cons

DMEa is continually growing the business and developing new technology, which makes managing accounts a little challenging at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The support you lend is already great, continue to listen to the ideas of your team.

    I worked at DMEautomotive full-time

    Pros

Flexibility, some nice/caring people, decent time-off

    Cons

They discriminate and actions are not applied consistently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just about every "leader" in this company needs Manager/Leadership training.

    I worked at DMEautomotive full-time

    Pros

    Casual work environment
    Senior management is friendly

    Cons

Management allows people to be treated like scum in front of others, creating an extremely negative environment. Managers are overbearing, micromanagerial, and extremely un-trustworthy. This could not have been a worse experience for anyone who has ANY experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show some fortitude and eliminate the ones causing the morale to deflate every time they are in a room. You know exactly the one(s).

I have been working at DMEautomotive (more than an year)

    Pros

Excellent CEO, genuine desire to build a positive culture. This company is always striving to provide the most innovative, progressive technology. True desire to meet customer's needs.

    Cons

Politics and unprofessionalism with some "tenured" employees. Lack of bench strength: at times, overly optimistic in ability to meet customer expectations, particularly with new technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Certain departments (technology) consistently fail to meet expectations. Consider leadership changes in the areas that consistently have challenges. Make sure key team members are placed in the most effective roles for their skill set.

    I worked at DMEautomotive

    Pros

Smaller company so you are not another face in the crowd. Treat the employees that work hard well.

    Cons

Very little training when you start.
Slow moving for promotions and raises

I have been working at DMEautomotive full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They want new people with new ideas. Casual work environment. A few people with good hearts work there.

    Cons

If you are not apart of the clique your doomed. The middle management is apart of the clique. Most of the management is process oriented rather than people oriented. The HR department does not keep your information private. If you go to them with a concern, the entire company will know. And believe me it's a small company and everyone knows everyone. Family members work there, and the company allows inter office dating. No room for advancement. If your current manager doesn't want you to leave. Then you won't. You won't even know that the position is available unless they want to tell you. They say they are all about their employees but no one in the middle is really listening. You feel like you have no one you can talk to about your legitimate concerns.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't allow your favorites or close friends to abuse work place rules. Don't ignore someone who is not apart of your clique. The upper management needs to re-arrange the middle management and/or get rid of a few of them. When your employee comes to you, don't chalk it up to being petty. Try to see what your favorite employees are doing when then don't know you can see/hear them. You will learn alot. A lot of sneaky ppl, out to keep themselves looking good, and trying to make other look bad. Recognize that people leave a company not because of the company itself, but often times because of management. Work on building a leadership team that will drive your business forward and inspire your workforce. Concentrate less on people who make you feel comfortable.

    Pros

DME is a small company that offers the opportunity for contributing new ideas and trying new things. They are open to new ideas and seek bright people with the knowledge to be creative and contribute new ideas,

    Cons

The strategy and insights are often micromanaged to support a pre-conceived idea.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thoroughly vet the origin and supportability of new ideas and strategies. Many of them are the result of force fitting an idea into a pre-conceived approach
