I have been working at DMX

    Pros

The work enviornment is relaxed and you can quickly grow your career. Great benefits. They provide music in the office, lunches, meetings, artists on site and many other events that make it fun to come to work. You can grow your career between departments if you take initiative and are willing to learn new things.

    Cons

We just had performance reviews and I woudl like to continually have those each year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fun company but run like a start-up.

    Pros

Very fun place to work, cool atmosphere. If you're spending most of your time at work, it's a great environment to be in and the people are fun and interesting.

    Cons

You work hard so you can play hard. Some people work long hours and are burnt out. Certain roles this is the only place you can get that kind of job, and the company knows it.

I have been working at DMX full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good people
Exposed to different genres of music

    Cons

    No growth
    Redundant daily tasks
    No raises since 2009
    Hardly any overtime

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start listening to your employees. If you invest in your employees rather than the company, things would run much smoother. A company can't run on its own. On top of that, if you continue to over work and under pay your employees, you end up losing majority of your employees that have so much potential, that its not funny. In conclusion, provide more carer opportunities and educational reimbursement for employees who are interested in going back to school.

  6.

DMX is a good company to work for. As far as communication and mutual respect from management that NEEDS improvement.

    Pros

Fun work atmosphire. Worked with a great team of employees. Learned alot.

    Cons

Management team over customer service's lack of communication and assistance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to work on communication and one on one meetings with their employees. I worked for company before their big expansion and bringing all departments together in one space. It was great management was amazing. Then once that management team moved on to either different positions or different companies the new leadership team was more into blaming all issues on customer service. They used to give one on one meetings regarding your numbers and how your doing and also to see if you would get a raise. After move all that stopped. They would meet amongst themselves and then give write ups but no coaching to assist employees. Very disapointing.

    I worked at DMX

    Pros

Fun environment. Good team members. Has the potential to be a great company.

    Cons

No value or understanding of product. Poor leadership from executive management. HR does not support employees but rather the executives and their personal agendas. Open communication is requested, however, if it isn't what they want to hear you will find yourself on the outs and then literally out. Extremely political environment. Excellence isn't rewarded but obedience is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Executive management should have the skill set to lead, encourage and motivate employees. Don't ask employees to figure out how to manage the executive management. Hire exceptional people. Hiring people you can control and manipulate is not a recipe for success. Be challenged!! Great success comes from relentless effort to improve yourself
and the environment for those around you.

I have been working at DMX

    Pros

The location of the company is central. The facilities are updated and include a gym. Supervisors are generally flexible with vactation and scheduling. Music industry.

    Cons

No performance reviews, only opportunities to move laterally rather than up. Less than perfect definition of standard operating procedures and departmental roles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open with the current state of affairs and the direction the organization is heading after so much recent change within the company.

    I worked at DMX

    Pros

It has a business-casual environment. There is music playing overhead at all times - and it's different for each department. They have small events such as free lunch, live artist performances and an annual company BBQ onsite that includes games/activities. They used to have drawings for ACL tickets but haven't seen that happen recently.

    Cons

There is room to move laterally to other departments but rarely up. You do get evaluated or complimented on performance by management but you'll never see a raise. You'll hear from upper management personnel that they want your opinion or feedback but if it's to point out something you feel should be changed, there does seem to be a change in dynamic in how you are perceived as a loyal employee. They seem to constantly change their company 'objective'. They expect high results but aren't willing to hire more people or approve overtime when absolutely needed.

I have been working at DMX

    Pros

Music usually playing loudly in the building. Sometimes bands or singers come in and play their songs. Casual environment that has parking.

    Cons

They start us with really low salaries and rush through training. Promotions to new segments are happening to people all around but they say they are not making much more money than when they started. You are expected to do a large amount of work in very tight timelines. Not a lot of direction from management upstairs (never see them). Seems like they are moving way to fast to know what is going on because we have different priorities every day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should explain to the new people just starting out what the career path is and what you need to do to get moved up.
