I worked at DPT Labs full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The job is okay and not hard to do, once you get the hang of it goes smooth. The people are friendly, the pay is decent, and you will get the weekends off (Depending on the team you are in you will be assigned to work some weekends while other weekends you will be off, so that is good).

    Cons

It sometimes gets boring doing the same thing over and over again after a while, wouldn't stay here more than what you have to.

DPT Labs is the most unprofessional environment I've worked in.

I worked at DPT Labs full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people at the lower levels. Unfortunately they are not valued.

    Cons

Back biting culture and very little team focus. They look down on their customers as much as they do their people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the CEO of roundtable, dive into the reality of what happens in San Antonio and get rid of the poor leadership if you expect long term growth. There's a reason your customers reviews are so poor and you have such high turnover. And here's a hint, it's not because "they just aren't DPT material." Some of us that leave, blossom at Fortune 500 companies that have true leadership talent.

    Pros

People are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist with issues; management will support ideas.

    Cons

New management personnel should have a knowledge prior to coming on board; fast pace environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to personnel on the floor and possibly have more management training on internal programs. (someone previously posted on behalf (unknown to me) and I felt I had to post to get my real review out there)

I worked at DPT Labs full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I liked it when I got a day off.

    Cons

I was over worked.... under paid... there were frequently no supplies to get jobs done. No matter how much I did for the company it was never enough. I was never appreciated for hours of over-time fixing problems. Terrible place and moral and management are terrible. All people ever do is talk about how they are going to get out of there.

I have been working at DPT Labs full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people and living in San Antonio is nice. Pay is decent and benefits are competitive for San Antonio. Glimpses of the old culture do exist, but fading fast. Not that it has to same the same, but it is changing for the worse (lack of care for people)

    Cons

The majority of the Senior Management team has lost its way. They talk "core values" and expect employees to subscribe, yet they do not model them. They have a lot infighting and lack of respect amongst themselves. They ask for feedback and yet if it isn't what they want to hear it is ignored or worse it is held against you. Training is talked about but virtually non-existent. The review process is a joke no accountability and immediate supervisor treats it as a laborious task and not an opportunity. Your recent LTComp program is one-sided and demonstrates the lack of trust Sr Management has for people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Kindness costs nothing - treat people better and live up to the values you preach. Making money is the core reason business survives, but it is the people that make the organization successful. Somewhere along the line this is a forgotten core concept.
