Pros
Large company with adequate cash reserves to cater for any contingency
Cons
Cannot think of any major downside. Maybe one point - which was inequality of salary between peers holding the same job responsibilities.
Advice to Senior Management
Please make sure that there is adequate communication from top down. At times the folks at lower level are left guessing for want of correct information from the sr leadership.
Pros
For salaried employees the job was pretty flexible as far as hours or needing to work from home.
Cons
Management did not have a clue what was going on below them. The hourly associates are treated horribly.
Advice to Senior Management
Management by intimidation is not effective.
Pros
Company has a lot to offer the market, but does not have the executive leadership to capitalize on the market.
Cons
Lack of leadership and commitment to strategy has led to employee dissatisfaction and low morale. The company has a lot to offer but does not appear to be able to leverage their assets and gain momentum.
Advice to Senior Management
Replace some of the executives with real leaders. Define core competencies and a vision of the company you want to be. Communicate a strategy throughout the organization and execute on it. If you deviate from the strategy make sure you understand and communicate the business reasons for changing direction.
Pros
Mostly great folks to work and Decent benefits.
Cons
DST Health Solutions continues to fail to provide a clear focus and path for success and growth for its customers and their employees. DST has the same leadership corefor years who are good to bring in new prospective saviors that do not succeed because the same leadership will not allow new blood to make the needed changes to allow this company to move forward to thrive and become a vital competitor in the market.
Advice to Senior Management
Read the above and get off your high horses. I will quote Obama, "it's time for change".
Pros
Overall, pay is good and being able to work from home on occasion was nice too.
Cons
Poor communication from top - down. No structure in employee development.
Advice to Senior Management
The lack of having competent managers to lead the teams is critical in keeping the business moving forward.
Pros
Great benefits. Great coworkers. Lots of self-directed computer based training courses in a variety of subjects.
Cons
Weak leadership and management. Upper management is completely out of touch with what is going on at the ground level. Too much focus on sales, no focus on ensuring that support and development areas have sufficient training and personnel to meet client needs.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on having a strong support and development team, not just selling more product. Recognize that your employees need to have a healthy work-life balance. Don't abuse your most talented, devoted employees by working them to the point of physical sickness.
Pros
More opportunities, one of the market leader in United States serving health care industry, A subsidary of DST Systems - which is a gaint
Cons
No balance between personal and professional life, Going to next position is not so easy
Advice to Senior Management
Good people but they need to make sure that employee doesn't suffer because of work load
