    Good people, bad upper management

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsGreat people to work with. Everyone works hard and parties hard.

ConsAfter the merger, upper management does not know what to do at all. They fired all the sales guys and then complained that there's no work for the rest of the employee.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't take over a company that you don't know how to run.

    From Good to Very Bad

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsOnly Pro was that Company was located in the San Francisco City.
    Discounted movie tickets

ConsUpper Management decided to close the San Francisco and New York office and gave 25 days notice to all employees to find new Job because the company could not pay the rent in City.
They could have moved to a small office around the city but guess company had better plans for in Texas.
No Motivation in the company. People come to office late and leave early and nobody cares.
Worst of all no Coffee machine. You can buy coffee downstairs.
No Employee can plan a long term committed role at the company.
Technology used in development is outdated and 2-3 years behind the current trend in the bay area.
Please stay away if you are planning for something long-term

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement keeps changing all the time. Please plan the financials better to locations can be kept open for a long time.

    For Daegis employees - purgatory

    Project Management (Current Employee)

ProsThe employees here are the best ever. Talented, loyal to clients. Loyal to each other. Pull together across departments to get things done. Despite management. Clients: your case will succeed despite the company.

ConsOverworked, under-appreciated, under-paid, scared. Afraid of being fired or laid off, everyone looking for work elsewhere but no time. Bonuses cut - used to be a BIG percentage of pay.

Advice to Senior ManagementTalk to us. WITH us. Not AT us, loudly. Abrasively. Saying everything is great and to just buck up.

    Sales organization is in shambles

    Manager (Former Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsThe people that actually execute on behalf of the clients are great. Talented folks that work long hours, often time with minimal upside.

ConsSales staff would do better selling used cars.

Advice to Senior ManagementHold sales accountable, why are people who constantly miss quotas not only kept on staff, but promoted?

Work is interesting, however constant reorganizations and layoffs make the work environment extremely tense.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsInteresting Work, good pay, good benefits, get to work with variety of clients in many industries and in different countries. Exposure to different technologies and applications.

ConsDownturn in revenue and profit has led to constant reorganization and layoffs. Tend to hire management based on past friendships as opposed to actual skill and capabilities.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees with respect and try to be more pro-active in understanding skills and value of employees to the organization.
