I worked at DailyCandy full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Incredibly relaxed office (no dress code), good pay and benefits, plus funny and brilliant coworkers. I loved going into work every day and being on a team with such wonderful, generous people.

    Cons

Appealing to the whims and unrealistic goals of parent company NBCU, the slow trickle of information from senior management to the rest of the company, and inability to hire more support for the staff.

    I worked at DailyCandy full-time

    Pros

Loved my coworkers: Everyone was friendly, creative, and collaborative. Casual workplace environment (dogs welcomed!), no dress code, flexible summer Fridays schedule, good benefits from parent company NBCU.

    Cons

Took years for a lot of people to get promoted. There were a lot of contractors who had to leave after a year because of legal reasons, and we had to continually hire and train more people rather than investing in the people who were already there.

    Pros

    A lot of energy
Good name to put on your resume

    Cons

Lack of support in some departments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open to out of the box ideas. If there is going to be change, it should be for the better. Should take advantage of what is out there. Making connections with employees is great but pushing for stronger content is key.
